Minecarts with chests allow you to store and transport goods in a mobile chest. They’re mainly used by people digging far underground, as you can simply use a powered minecart to push a long train of minecarts with chests up to the surface without having to go there yourself.
Minecarts with chests are used just like normal minecarts, with the exception that they can’t be ridden. Minecarts with chests can only be placed on rails, but they can be pushed off of them without destroying them. Destroying minecarts with chests will cause them to break into a minecart, a chest and whatever items were in the chest.
