The Queen of the Underworld, Persephone, was not always a cold and spiteful God. Once, as the daughter of Zeus, she would pick flowers with her companions and wander the gardens of the world.
Persephone (or Perse) is an excellent carry/debuffer/support that can provide good results in all aspects as she can help fight off physical carries, reduce the enemy’s healing ability and still be able to deal quite a lot of damage thanks to her debuff stacking and dealing more and more damage as it piles up. She would shine more as you progress as enemies get stronger and healers keep reducing your efforts to nothing. Her weapon also has a nice buff to her damage, though it isn’t pushing her utility.
Weapon
Her weapon allows her to increase the butterflies’ number of targets to up to 3, and for them to deal up to 7.5% of their target’s current Health as extra damage when the target has no buffs. Her weapon’s stats are biased towards Attack, Defense and Crit while forsaking Health.
Skills
Her kit is made of 2 passives and an active. Her first passive applies a debuff to the whole enemy team for 10s; if the enemy auto-attacks then they will trigger a 75% chance of being dealt 60% of her Attack and have their healing received reduced by 50%, and there is a scaling effect for each stack of the debuff :
At 2 stacks, damage increases to 80%.
At 3 stacks, the triggering chance becomes 100%.
At 4 stacks, the damage is increased by 50% for enemies under 35% Health.
At 5 stacks, deals 100% damage.
Her second passive buffs the whole team, reducing physical damage taken by up to 30%, and every stack of her debuff increases their Dodge by up to 4%. Finally, her active skill summons butterflies dealing 200% to the enemy with the most buffs and dispersing them; whenever a buff is dispersed the target takes 50% damage and they cannot receive any buff for up to 10s. Her ultimate makes the field burst enemies on it, dealing up to 300% damage and increasing the stacks of her debuff by up to 2.
Persephone is the daughter of the God-King, Zeus and the Goddess of the harvest, Demeter. In her early life, Persephone grew up happily under the care of her mother. In the spring, she would lay on the grass. Her young heart was full of vitality as the soft breeze wafted the fragrance of spring flowers over her. In summer, she admired the lotus flowers in the quiet ponds and listened quietly to the singing of insects. In autumn, she ran in the golden fields and felt the joy brought about by the harvest. In this way, Persephone grew up tranquilly, and became a passionate, beautiful, and graceful Goddess. If not for the unexpected, she would have continued to live like this…
However, because of one beautiful flower, everything changed. One fateful day, Persephone and her female companions went out to pick flowers together as usual. The innocent Persephone was attracted by a delicate daffodil and left her friends. When she was about to pick it, the Earth burst open suddenly, and four black horses roared from the huge crack with Hades in his chariot. The cold Hades kidnapped this vivid beauty and returned to his lair. In the embrace of mighty Hades, all Persephone’s struggles were futile.
In this way, Persephone was forced to become the Queen of Hades and initially was depressed all day long. Yet, Hades was responsive to her, and eventually she tried to make the best of a bad situation. Hades even built a garden for her and agreed that she could live with her mother for a period each year. Living in the underworld influences everyone though; eventually, she became cold and sullen. Her “garden” was without sunlight and therefore her underworld “plants” were merely poisonous and carnivorous creatures in disguise.
