Mythic Heroes Tamamo No Mae Guide 2021 (October)

Summary

As a Kitsune or “Fox Spirit,” Tamamo No Mae was shunned and hunted after the illness of the Emperor who had been entranced by her. Tamamo has been wandering, looking for a home ever since.

Tamamo is a very quirky hero that can blink here and there during the whole battle, escaping damage and targeting most often while dealing quite a lot of damage herself with her ultimate acting as a gatling gun. She can also be annoying and join another carry across the map to attack a hero or damage the backline by herself. She does not need any Dodge, Defence or fancy stat like this, she only needs to reduce the cooldown of her skills to improve.

Weapon

Her weapon grants her buffs of 20% Attack Speed/20% Crit/50% Crit Damage after summoning 8/12/16 foxfires, and to summon 1 foxfire whenever she casts Phantom Dash. Her weapon’s stats are biased towards Defense while forsaking Attack.

Skills

Her kit is made of 2 actives and one passive. Her first active summons up to 4 Foxfires that lock on and travel to a nearby enemy, dealing up to 120% damage. Her second active makes her blink to behind the furthest enemy target, dealing up to 175% to them and other enemies on her path. Her passive renders her immune to the next incoming attack and teleports her to a random position; this can be triggered once every 3s at the least. Her ultimate summons up to 10 Foxfires around herself, increasing the distance they can travel and reducing her skill cooldown; at higher levels, reset the cooldown of her active Foxfire summoning skill.

F2P Guide

A magical carry, which is tricky to hit for the enemy (as she can cancel a hit taken every 3s and TP randomly). She is all about the fox fires she can spawn with either her first skill or her ulti, which are doing good damage, and she can wander close to a squishy target, killing them quickly. She is also fairly resilient overall. However, she has no aoe capabilities either (everything she does target one person), and the TP can put her in the worst spot possible (that’s how I kill them when she is in the opponent team in PVE, reset until the TP put her in a killzone).

Good carry potential, tho, with a weapon giving nice offensives stats as effects, but no 3rd offensive stat (as an item), making it good but not great.

The divinity you want are Savvy and Supernova, symbiosis until then.

Story

As the maxim states: “You catch more flies with honey.” Tamamo no Mae is the equivalent of honey mixed with cyanide poison. Her charm and cleverness are as devastating to the enemy as any earthly weapon. She uses her beauty and cunning to distract and misdirect her opponents but also can deliver significant damage in close quarters. She is armed with a modified hand fan, has the ability to summon fox fire spirits, and can teleport at will.

Tamamo no Mae is a kitsune or “fox spirit.” These feminine spirits are known for their intelligence and can shift from human to fox at any time. Although kitsunes are generally thought of as tricksters, they sometimes are servants, friends and even, as was the case for Tamamo no Mae, lovers.

Tamamo no Mae was the great Emperor’s favorite concubine. He thought she was as beautiful as a wildflower and as soft and gentle as a rounded river stone. The emperor was fond of her skill in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, but it was her skills of seduction that kept him entranced. She gained tremendous power in the emperor’s court and lived a very privileged life – until one day. That fateful day the emperor became gravely ill and everyone in the palace blamed Tamamo no Mae. She was cursed and exposed as a nine-tailed kitsune demon and spent the following years of her life hunted around the countryside by the Royal Guard.

Tamamo could never find a decent country again. Evil Gods were raging everywhere, and the Void spirits converted every continent into ash. The whole world became darkened, leaving only chaos and fighting.
