Appearance

The Keruku is a small, seemingly metallic bird-like wyvern with two large, hand-like wings. Segments of plated armor run down its neck, and spines protrude from in-between several of them. Along its back are even larger spines, which get smaller as they approach the tail. On its chest is a large rigid crest. At the base of its tail, three pairs of long ribbon-like structures protrude from in-between plated armor, in a way similar to the neck. At the tip of the tail is a large spike encircling a detached octagon. Similar octagon patterns can be seen down its neck and torso and on its wings.

The Keruku has no gender dimorphism.

Abilities

Block Bleed (1.00)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Channeling
Channeling is a passive ability that activates when a user with it is at 25% or less health. Every 5 seconds, any creature within a 150 stud radius of the user will receive 3 shock status and 2 confusion status. The status effects stack with each strike.
Defensive Paralyze (1)
Defensive Paralyze/Defensive Paralysis is a passive ability that deals paralysis to an attacker upon a user with this ability being attacked.
Iron Stomach
Iron Stomach is a passive ability that allows the user to eat rotten meat without getting negative ailments from it--preventing them from getting the Sickly Status.
Pack Healer
Pack Healer is a pack-oriented passive ability. This passive ability allows the user to boost the HP regen of their fellow packmates.

Trivia

  • Made by @Yorevole, also known as Yorevole#5204, on the Creatures of Sonaria Discord. The Keruku "took inspiration for the shape of keruku's wings from a creature I saw on Pinterest (unfortunately I didn't save said piece :( even if I did it would be long gone) I also took inspiration from stood's design "Galtekron" for the general idea of the body shape, though It kinda just turned into its own thing overtime lolol. keruku's other design features such as: the colors, face, tail, aztecish design and everything else were by me. Since keruku was for a 'beta supporter contest' it really was based off 'make it as flashy and cool as possibly' lmao." (Quoted by concept creator Yorevole)
  • Modeled by Erythia.
  • The Keruku species is no longer obtainable by any normal means. To own one, it must be traded. This creature was only obtainable by spending Robux and earning the Beta Supporter badge when the game was in beta.
  • According to the Beta Supporter badge count, there are 24,222 or less Keruku in game. The reason there are are no longer exactly 24,222 Keruku species in the game is because of duplication glitches and the Tikit system. Additionally, the Developers gave out 10 Keruku species on the first anniversary of the game.
  • Keruku is the rarest tradeable creature in the game.
  • In the Legacy Trade Realm, female stored Keruku are untradable due to the game recognizing it as a Developer Creature.
  • Keruku was the first creature to receive the Lightning Breath ability.
  • In Legacy, Keruku has neon turquoise blue blood when bleeding. When killed, the Keruku also drops a neon light blue carcass in Legacy. This is an actual blood color in some real-life species; albeit not the exact shade as shown in-game.
  • In Recode, Keruku has red blood.
  • The Keruku has a UGC item based on it called the Keruku Staff. It was made by TamBrush and purchasable for 100 Robux. It is no longer for sale.
