Appearance
The Yohsog is a large creature with a heavier upper body. It has long, curved, bear-like claws, presumably to dig in the snow to find food. It has a large and round head, and a thick neck to support it. It has a very distinctive face, slightly resembling a frog or toad. It has a pair of antler-like tusks which are attached to its upper jaw. Lastly, it has a robust body of fur leading to a more furry tail.

Trivia
- Concept by Stood_04 in the Creatures of Sonaria Discord. The Yohsog was inspired by yetis. Yohsog was originally going to be a deer.
- Animated by Rook. Yohsog originally had a much bouncier run animation, but the animator Rook disliked the way it looked. They completely remade the animation to what it is now in-game.
- Re-animated by Mukudori.
- It has one of the largest gender differences in the game, only followed by Boreal Warden, Qurugosk, and a few others.
- The legacy Yohsog lacks ambush, like many other omnivores.
- Was confirmed to have the Snow Shield ability, but a day after release it got scrapped due to how Snow Shield can, at times, cause other players or the user themselves to be stuck in the wall of the shield. This was reverted on Recode.
- It is the second creature to have sky-blue blood on Legacy, the first being Yenyasha. Due to this, when killed, the Yohsog drops a carcass of the same sky-blue color. This is an actual color in some Earth creatures, from those that use hemocyanin, a blue oxygen carrier that replaces hemoglobin in some invertebrate's blood, though not this light of a shade. In fact, it looks more similar to that of the Antarctic icefish, which have white/transparent blood due to the complete lack of oxygen carriers, the plasma and the white cells being the ones coloring its blood.
- During Yohsog's release in the Winter Event of 2021-2022, its price was set to 10,000 Bells initially by mistake, and then corrected to 7,000 Bells in a soft patch, meaning it would only appear in newly-populated servers post-patch at the time and not in older servers. This was the second time this occurred during the Winter Event of 2021-2022, first occurring with Varskela.
- The Yohsog is affectionately referred to as "Woose" by the playerbase due to its whale and moose-like appearance. Upon its first release it was rumored to be called this, but was later revealed it would be the "Yohsog".
