Cobblestone is the rough stone obtained when mining natural stone blocks. It's the most abundant building material in Hytale and forms the foundation of many construction projects. Every miner accumulates massive amounts of cobblestone.
- You'll get cobblestone automatically while mining

- Don't throw it away - always useful for building
Thorium Ingots are refined from the high-altitude Thorium Ore exclusive to Zone 2's desert mountains. This late-game metal creates powerful equipment.

Root Spirits are elemental beings embodying natural life energy. When defeated, they release concentrated Essence of Life. These peaceful-looking creatures will defend themselves if attacked.
- Root Spirits blend into forest environments
- Drops 2-3 essence per spirit
- Non-aggressive until provoked
- Also found in magical groves
Life Essence can also be obtained by harvesting fully mature crops. Different crops yield varying amounts, with more complex vegetables producing greater quantities. Eternal crop variants yield essence more reliably.
- Wheat yields 2-4 essence per harvest
- Potatoes and Onions yield 8-9 essence
- Eternal seeds produce consistent essence yields
- Set up dedicated farming operations for steady supply
Void Essence is a mysterious and dangerous material found in the most corrupted regions of Hytale. This otherworldly substance seems to absorb light itself and is associated with the darker forces at work in the world. Handle with extreme caution.

- Void creatures are the primary source
- Essential for crafting Mithril armor and dark equipment
- The areas where it's found are extremely dangerous
