The speed stat is very important in Crossing Void, although it is not actually listed anywhere in-game. All characters have a base speed, and it does not ever increase.
The combined speed total of a Main & Support character determines the order in which they attack during a battle. If your characters have more speed than the enemies, then they will attack first.
Generally you’ll want your strongest DPS to have the lowest speed, so that they can use their skills while they have buffs.
If you’re going for maximum speed, the general ideal combined number is above 1300, as most PvE enemies have sub 1200. This ensures that your characters will always use their skills first.
