Appearance

The Ferrah resembles an ungulate, with slender legs and three hooved toes on each foot. Its body appears somewhat short and barrel-shaped in contrast with its long tail, neck, and face, from which sprout tall, quill-like growths. It has gill-like vents on both of its sides, the top of which is lined with a row of feathery structures. Ferrah has long, tufted ears and narrow eyes. Its mouth is considerably wide and opens to reveal sharp teeth.

By default, Ferrah is predominantly violet with prominent white, red, and yellow markings.

Abilities

Burrower (3)
Burrower is an active ability that allows the user to place up to 4 (or a specific creature limit) burrows anywhere on the map and use burrows created by other players. If a user places more entrances than the maximum allowed, the oldest burrow and exit will be replaced. A user cannot place a burrow entrance inside its own burrow or inside someone else's burrow. There is a 3 second cooldown between entering and exiting burrows, excluding entering a burrow after its initial placement.
Speed Blitz
Speed Blitz is an active ability that will consume half of the user's stamina bar if it is above 50% and apply 6 stacks (18 seconds) of the Speed Blitz Status. It has a 90 second cooldown.
Bleed Attack (1)
Bleed Attack is a passive ability, where the user inflicts a specific amount of bleed status on a creature with every bite, excluding with breath/ranged abilities or reflecting abilities. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Block Bleed (0.15)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Strength In Numbers
Strength In Numbers is a passive ability that gives the user a 7% stamina regeneration boost and a 1.5% damage boost. It stacks according to how many creatures with the same ability and species are nearby. If there are no other users with this ability nearby, it will not provide the boost.

Trivia

  • Original concept by NauticaElurra. It drew inspiration from the idea of a hyena and cheetah hybrid. The gender differences seen in the concept art were unfortunately not doable, so the Ferrah's gender differences seen in the concept art will not be in-game, instead choosing the male's appearance as default. Male Ferrah would have more vibrant feathers/fur and the tuft on their ear is extended longer than that of a female's. They also appear to have 'horns' under their ears. On top of that, they are much taller than females. This is similar to real life where males are usually larger and (amongst birds, fish, reptiles, and some mammals) more vibrant to attract and impress possible mates. Female Ferrah would not be as vibrant as males and are noticeably shorter. They have some pattern differences from males and have a shorter ear tuft (or the stick thing the tuft is connected to). There's a sort of a whisker in the place where males present a 'horn'. The Ferrah was originally the Haerana. Ferrah's name was inspired by the 3D animator artist FENNAH.
  • Redesign concept by by Xhosa_Onkai. Ferrah's redesign is based on cheetahs and pronghorns. Ferrah got a redesign due to the original design being heavily referenced off of existing artwork not created by Ferrah's original creator.
  • Modeled by East. Ferrah was originally modeled by NauticaElurra, but this version was never released. This unused version included its now-scrapped gender differences.
  • Original design animated by Nimwit.
