Appearance

Fyranili is a bipedal creature which resembles a dromaeosaurid in build and posture. Parts of its limbs, neck, head, and the base of its tail are covered in leafy feathering, and there are several large pepper-shaped protrusions jutting from its shoulders, wrists, ankles, back, and the "leaves" on its tail. Both of its horns are similarly thick and pepper-like in appearance, but each feature a small prong. Fyranili's tail also shares this resemblance to a chili pepper, and it is thicker and longer than the rest of the creature's body. The tail is covered in short barbs on both the dorsal and ventral side, and it ends in a sharp, slightly curled point like a bee's stinger.

Both of Fyranili's four-fingered hands have a noticeable "thumb" claw and its theropod feet feature curved sickle-shaped claws. Its teeth protrude from the outside of its mouth and line the upper jaw exclusively. Small spots shaped like pepper seeds are scattered in rows of three on Fyranili's sides. By default, the creature features fiery shades of red, orange, and yellow, with dark green feathering and sparse white.

Abilities

Spite (0.20)
Spite is an active ability that increases a user's next attack damage based on its power meter, which gradually fills once the ability is triggered and then drains to 0 if no creature is attacked by the user during this time. It also has a customizable percentage (%) of the creature's damage (the % listed is the max of said creature's Spite power). Alongside raw damage, the user inflicts double ailments on their targets. The ability has a 20-second cooldown that starts upon activation.
Tail Drop
Tail Drop is an active ability which allows a user to intentionally self-amputate a its tail. After committing this action, the user gains the Tail Dropped status, and the tail becomes a meat drop that provides enriched when eaten. If the tail comes from a Photovore or Photocarnivore, it can also be eaten by Herbivores. It has a 10 second cooldown. It takes some percent of the hunger bar to regrow the tail (unless a creature menus).
Burn Attack (2.5)
Burn Attack is an ability that offensively deals burn when biting. Stacks with itself. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Defensive Burn (3.5)
Burn touch/Defensive burn is an ability that deals burn to the opposing creature when being bitten. Stacks with itself.
First Strike (0.25)
First Strike is a passive ability that grants the user increased damage while they are above 75% health. The damage increase is depends on the creature and is reflected in its stat menu.
Strength In Numbers
Strength In Numbers is a passive ability that gives the user a 7% stamina regeneration boost and a 1.5% damage boost. It stacks according to how many creatures with the same ability and species are nearby. If there are no other users with this ability nearby, it will not provide the boost.

Behavior

  • Despite being aggressive predators, trying to be friends with these furious creatures might be easier than you think. They love challenging other creatures into a "Hot-spicy" challenge where they'll give you a Molteno pepper for you to consume, and if you're able to endure the incredible hotness of the pepper, they will forever be your friend. The Molteno pepper is a rare pepper that has an incredibly spicy flavor, with a Scoville scale of 6.3 million, as hot as an erupting volcano. Consumption could cause the consumer to suffer from burns for hours.
  • Fyranili hunt other creatures mostly for fun, they show no mercy when it comes to killing due to their hot temper.
  • They are very protective of their pack and friends. They do not let anyone who hurts their allies get away easily.
