7 characters worth rerolling for, and how to reroll
Rerolling Honkai: Star Rail is slow and usually not worth it: every try needs a new email address and 30 to 40 minutes of tutorial you can't skip, and the free passes only work on the standard banners. If you reroll, aim for Welt, Bronya or Himeko from the standard pool.
Best standard 5-stars
Slows and delays enemies while lowering their DEF and raising your team's damage. One of the best damage amplifiers you can get without a limited banner, and he deals decent damage himself.
There are stronger amplifiers now, but she's still the best partner for some damage dealers and shows up in a lot of teams.
Clears waves of enemies with AoE damage and is at her best in Pure Fiction. A good first damage dealer that keeps getting better as you invest, as a crit or a break DPS.
Counterattacks through Svarog, is easy to build and works in an all 4-star team, so you can build an account around her.
4-stars worth keeping
The best 4-star buffer: she restores your main damage dealer's energy so their ultimate comes round faster, and fits a lot of teams.

Lowers enemy DEF, is easy to build and doesn't need Eidolons.
Not worth rerolling for
Yanqing has aged badly and loses to most 4-star damage dealers. Bailu is still a good healer but no longer a priority now that 4-stars like Lynx and Gallagher heal well, and Gepard struggles early and only pays off in hard content later.
How to reroll
- Make a HoYoverse account with a new email address. Salted addresses (name+1@...) are blocked, so each try needs a real new address.
- Play the prologue until you meet Asta and unlock Warping, about 30 to 40 minutes. Use Adventure Logs on the Trailblazer and Dan Heng to speed up the fights.
- Claim the 20 Star Rail Passes from your mail. Reaching Trailblaze Level 5 gives 10 more.
- Pull on Departure Warp, the beginner banner: it guarantees a 5-star within 50 pulls and 50 pulls cost only 40 passes. Or pull on Stellar Warp for a shot at a second 5-star and finish the beginner banner later.

Star Rail Passes can't be used on limited banners, which need Star Rail Special Passes, so a fresh account pulls from the standard pool.
