Zen points (Chi) are the main currency for the new Zen event. They can be used at the Zen shop to buy brand-new seeds, eggs, pets, and cosmetics.
But how do you get Zen points? And more importantly, how do you get them fast?

How to get Zen Points (Chi) in Grow a Garden
To get Zen Points in Grow a Garden, you need to take advantage of the hourly Zen Aura event. This event causes some of your plants to randomly gain a special mutation called Tranquil mutation, which is required to earn Zen Points. Once a plant has this mutation, you can harvest it and turn it into the Zen Channeler NPC to receive Zen Points in return.
The number of Zen Points you get depends on the type and rarity of the plant. Basic plants like carrots or tomatoes offer very few points, while high-tier plants such as divine, mythical, and especially prismatic ones give significantly more. For example, a prismatic plant like an Elephant Ear gives 7 points, while a mythical plant like a Prickly Pear gives only 5. Bone Blossom, a transcendent plant, gives 8 Zen Points—the highest base value.
Additionally, plant quality boosts your points even further. If a tranquil plant is golden, it adds 2 extra points. If it’s rainbow, it adds 4. So, a rainbow prismatic plant would give 11 Zen Points in total. Players with special pets like the Dragonfly, which can turn plants golden, can use that to boost their gains even more.
To farm Zen Points efficiently, focus on cultivating high-rarity plants and make sure your garden is cleared of low-tier ones so that only valuable plants can receive the tranquil mutation. AFKing in the game during the hourly event ensures you steadily accumulate tranquil plants, which you can then harvest and submit for Zen Points.

Zen Point Farming Guide (Prismatic + Dino Method)
This method requires three dino pets and at least one Prismatic crop (although you can use your highest tier):
- Triceratops (to make seeds grow faster)
- Stegosaurus (to get more crops)
- T-Rex (to spread the Tranquil mutation)
Step 1: Set Up a Save Slot with Only Prismatic Plants
Use a separate save slot dedicated to high-value prismatic plants, such as:
- Beanstalk
- Ember Lily
- Sugar Apple
- Burning Bud
- Giant Pinecone
- Elephant Ears (unobtainable)
This ensures that only valuable plants can receive the Tranquil mutation during Zen Aura events.
If you don’t have any Prismatic, use the highest tier you’ve got.
Step 2: Use the Triceratops to Speed Up Growth
Equip the Triceratops pet, which accelerates plant growth.
This allows your prismatic plants to reach harvest-ready status much faster, increasing mutation opportunities within each hourly Zen Aura event.
Step 3: Wait for the Zen Aura Event
The Zen Aura event triggers once every hour.
During this event, random plants can gain the Tranquil mutation, which is required for earning Zen Points.
Step 4: Use the T-Rex to Spread Tranquil Mutation
Equip the T-Rex pet to spread the Tranquil mutation to other nearby plants. You can also use Mimic Octopuses in conjunction with it, as it copies the passive from the T-Rex.
BONUS: Use Dragonfly to make the crops golden (extra points)
This increases the total number of tranquil prismatic plants available for harvesting, multiplying your potential Zen Point yield.
Step 5: Use the Stegosaurus to Duplicate Crops
As your tranquil prismatic plants become ready to harvest, use the Stegosaurus pet, which has a chance to duplicate fruits upon harvesting.
This means you can harvest one tranquil prismatic and get more, boosting your Zen Point output.
Step 6: Harvest and Submit to Zen Channeler
Harvest all duplicated tranquil prismatic plants. Give them to the Zen Channeler NPC to earn Zen Points — prismatic plants give 7 points each (or more if golden or rainbow).
