Appearance

Jeff is a character that looks like the common Robloxian Noob (yellow skin, blue clothes, green pants). He is about the size of an Rthro avatar, and is used for scaling with other creatures. He is the only playable human in the game.

The Jeff has no gender dimorphism.

Abilities

Adrenaline
Adrenaline is an active ability that gives 10 stacks (30 seconds) of adrenaline, which increases movement speed by 25%, damage by 20%, and disables stamina regeneration while active.
Burrower (4)
Burrower is an active ability that allows the user to place up to 4 (or a specific creature limit) burrows anywhere on the map and use burrows created by other players. If a user places more entrances than the maximum allowed, the oldest burrow and exit will be replaced. A user cannot place a burrow entrance inside its own burrow or inside someone else's burrow. There is a 3 second cooldown between entering and exiting burrows, excluding entering a burrow after its initial placement.
Egg Stealer
Egg Stealer is an active ability that allows creatures to steal eggs from the nests of other players. If a creature has this ability, eggs are also highlighted with an egg icon when scenting.
Latch (2)
Latch is an active ability that allows the user to latch onto higher-tiered creatures. Creatures that the user has latched into cannot escape for 5 seconds. After that, the latched creature can struggle by pressing any button and will release such creature from the latch. The user can unlatch at any moment by pressing the same button used to latch in the first place.
Strength In Numbers
Strength In Numbers is a passive ability that gives the user a 7% stamina regeneration boost and a 1.5% damage boost. It stacks according to how many creatures with the same ability and species are nearby. If there are no other users with this ability nearby, it will not provide the boost.

Trivia

  • Concept by Builderman on CoS Discord. Inspired by the classic Roblox Noob avatar. Before Jeff got redesigned, it said "Concept by: Builderman". However, after the revamp, it has "Concept by: God", instead. Revamped Jeff is the first and only creature whose concept doesn't really recognize its game concept creator as it, but instead alludes to abrahamic religion. Jeff's current description, main menu screen pose, and their walking animation are a reference to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Main Menu Screen - Dio Brando pose | Walking Animation - Jotaro's HFTF Walking animation, the redesign has an "aggro" animation that is also a reference to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure). Before Jeff's re-stat on 3/3/2022 its description stated: "Jeff is just a regular guy, nobody knows how he got here. Save Jeff!!"
  • Jeff is an omnivore just like a regular human.
  • The remodel attacks via punching, like a real human in a fight or boxing match.
  • The current Glimmer variant has all but its head altered to be neon. A Glimmer variant of its pre-remodel used to only exist in the development testing world (from which the entire body was altered to be neon).
  • While Jeff was added upon beta release, it wasn't playable until later on.
  • Before Jeff got revamped, Jeff could only be colored by the filling tool.
  • Jeff once had calls before new 'silent' calls were added on May 31st, 2021, far before it got revamped. The classic calls of Jeff were just Erythia (one of the game's Owners) talking. [Expand] for Classic Calls.
