Appearance

The Nyxasolyx is a rather large, somewhat bear/dragon-looking creature. The Nyxasolyx possesses six limbs, four of them being 5-fingered arms, with the second pair less developed than the first, and a pair of legs ending in 4 fingers; and a long tail ending with a hollowed rhombus spike. The Nyxasolyx has large horns on its head, three pairs of antenna-like appendages jutting from below its jaw, on top of its torso (between the second arm and leg pair) and behind its thigh; and with spiked fins jutting from its snout, below its jaw, on the top of its neck and lower thorax and behind the ankles. Large floating rings adorn its body, specifically around the antenna and tail, but also decorating a huge eye-shaped ovoid ring located around its neck. Its colors consist of desaturated greens, turquoise, golds, white and pale yellows.

Abilities

Drowsy Area
Drowsy Area is an active ability that gives those within its area of effect the drowsy status, slowing their bite speed and severely slowing them down in movement and turn speed. Has a 60 second cooldown.
Bleed Attack (3)
Bleed Attack is a passive ability, where the user inflicts a specific amount of bleed status on a creature with every bite, excluding with breath/ranged abilities or reflecting abilities. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Block Bleed (0.35)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Charge (Throw)
Charge is a passive ability that gradually fills an orange "Charge" bar (unique to creatures with this ability) while running. Once completely full, clicking (Lmb on PC or on Mobile or RT on Xbox) will apply special effects on a creature the user is hitting. If the bar is not full, charge effects may be reduced or non-existent. Current Charge types:

Sonic Wings is a passive ability that allows the user to idle while flying without consuming or regaining stamina.

  • Nyxasolyxs have very fragile horns.
  • Nyxasolyxs like to file their nails on trees.
  • Nyxasolyx will move the antennae on its body to help them make sharp turns and movements in the sky, which helps them escape from predatory creatures.

  • They are known as fragile and wonderous creatures due to their rings and floating parts.
  • Nyxasolyx is one of the few creatures that can fly without wings, the others being the Ura, Novus Warden, Norskogg and Sturbi.
  • Despite having Gold Breath, the Nyxasolyx does not posses golden blood, unlike other creatures that have this breath.
  • Upon being shown the rigged model of the Nyxasolyx, many people dubbed it the "protractor creature", referencing the protractor-like ring around its neck.
  • During the first hour of the Nyxasolyx's release, its color palette was mistakenly made up entirely of blues that was soon fixed.
  • The background in which Nyxasolyx was shown during the release features meteors falling from the sky.
