Appearance

The Tohukos is a slender creature with two pairs of long arms, which also seem to count as its legs. The Tohukos does not seem to have traditional legs, so it appears to walk on the back of its clawed hands.

The upper half of the Tohukos's head is lined with a pair of three spikes, getting smaller as the spikes approach the back of its head. A pair of whiskers sprout from below its nostrils, and a large flap juts from the underside of its chin. It has tufts of cheek fur and does not appear to have eyes. It has a small row of fin-like appendages, which resemble this creature's neck flap, which starts at the base of the creature's neck and ends on the creature's lower back, getting increasingly smaller the further the appendage is from the neck. Another fin-like structure can be found lining the base of the creature's tail. The tail itself is long and thin, tapering into a thicker fin-like shape towards the end. Circular patterns can be found on its shoulders, meanwhile stripe-y patterns can be found along the length of its body.

**Males**: Males have three feather-like additions a bit past the base of the tail fins.

**Females**: Females have two pairs of feather-like additions on each shoulder.

Abilities

Egg Stealer
Egg Stealer is an active ability that allows creatures to steal eggs from the nests of other players. If a creature has this ability, eggs are also highlighted with an egg icon when scenting.
Bleed Attack (2.5)
Bleed Attack is a passive ability, where the user inflicts a specific amount of bleed status on a creature with every bite, excluding with breath/ranged abilities or reflecting abilities. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Block Bleed (0.25)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Block Poison (0.50)
Block Poison/Poison Block is a passive ability that grants resistance to poison status once they reach max age (100). Like many other block defenses, it works by blocking a percentage of the ailment received. If a creature's Poison Block is 100%, then they are immune to those stats (and will be healed instantly if they are somehow applied) once they reach age 100.
Climber
Climber is a passive ability that allows the user to walk on walls and ceilings. To detach from a wall, press the Space on PC. On Mobile, press the dedicated Detach button, or, if the creature has Jump, press the jump button.
Disease Attack (4.5)
Disease Attack is a passive ability where the user inflicts a specific amount of Disease status on any creature it bites. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Necropoison Attack (1.5)
Necropoison Attack is a passive ability that allows the user to deal Necropoison Status to any creature it bites. It stacks with itself but does not get worse over time. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Poison Attack (2)
Poison Attack is a passive ability that makes the user deal Poison Status to another creature upon biting them. It stacks with itself. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Raider
Raider is a passive ability that allows users to enter and exit burrows, but not create them.
Sticky Fur
Sticky Fur is a passive ability that inflicts the Sticky Teeth Status to the attacker when bitten.

Behavior

  • Tohukos live a social lifestyle, but aren’t organized and have very little structure in their groups. Some individuals may have more respect than others for various reasons, but generally they don't care about status and keep to themselves along with others closer to them. These groups vary a lot, so rarely some can be more organized than usual and even shift in behavior over time.
  • Tohukos are fairly intelligent and are able to communicate to each other. They have the ability to do basic problem solving but don’t use tools.
  • Being completely blind, Tohukos depend heavily on scent and hearing for communication. Their sense of hearing is below average, but their sense of smell is extremely good.
  • Tohukos each have a distinct scent to identify each other. Along their fur there are glands focused on their markings that make these various smells.
  • Tohukos use their whiskers to greet each other, similar to ants and their antennae. The whiskers focus on touch, vibrations, and picking up chemicals, while the fleshy frills on their face focus on smells.
  • Because Tohukos navigate the world using smell, individuals usually have a favorite creature by scent. More often than not this creature is Rukig, which smells sweet like chocolate.
  • Groups of juvenile Tohukos will sometimes surround harmless Tier 1 creatures to learn about them (and for entertainment, sorry Rukig).
  • Kehmador smog is very disorienting to Tohukos and can leave them unable to smell for days on end. Those affected by this have trouble recognizing other Tohukos.

Trivia

  • Concept by Stood_04. Inspired by bats, butterflies, and fleas.
  • Previously, Guinbuel was Stood_04's Developer Creature but was replaced by Tohukos because the developer felt it was too similar to normal creatures.
  • Tohukos is so far the only dev creature which full name is not present at the Legacy Dev Creature store, instead being called Tohu.
  • When first seen and played as, people called it "stick" and sometimes "twig" (and often "sticc" and "stick bug" since that gets muted more often in Roblox) from its slim shape.
