Survivor

No specialtyFree
  • No bonuses - and nothing essential needs one
  • Every mechanic in the game works for you

Starts with nothing extra. Just your own two hands.

Scavenger

Finding overlooked supplies25050
  • Inspecting a searched cupboard or drawer can turn up one overlooked small supply (once per container, for the whole party)
  • Inspecting an unopened container tells you if it likely holds food, tools or household things

Starts with 1 L Bottle: a small sealed water bottle. Finds are modest and finite; containers never refill.

  • Short bursts of running cost less stamina while carrying ordinary things
  • Marks routes for the team: shortcuts and blocked doors, seen by everyone

  • Opens ordinary doors and containers more quietly
  • Gets stamina back faster while standing still and listening

  • Drags furniture faster and steadies open buckets against small spills
Slowdown from heavy containers

About classes

Classes are bought in the lobby and picked before a match. None of them adds food, water or health from nothing; they make a job quieter, faster or cheaper. The starting items are listed on the items page.

Questions

What is the best class in 30 Floors Up?

It depends on your job in the group. The Caretaker (repairs and defences) and the The Medic (injuries and recovery) cost the most at 900 cash. Solo, the Scout is the safest pick: walking and crouching make 40% less noise, and noise is what brings the infected.

How much do classes cost?

Scavenger, Trapper, Courier cost 250 cash or 50 gems; Caretaker and Medic 900 cash or 180 gems. Every price is 5 cash to 1 gem.

Do I need a class to finish?

No. The free Survivor has no bonuses, and the game says it outright: nothing essential needs one, and every mechanic works for you.

Do classes stack in a group?

Each player picks one class for the match, and up to 4 play together, so a full group can cover four specialties. Some perks work for the whole party: the Scavenger's extra find counts once per container for everyone, and the Courier's route marks are seen by all.
