What is the best weapon in 30 Floors Up?
For damage a second, the Kitchen Knife: 18 damage every 0.4s, 45 a second. For stamina, the Kitchen Knife gets the most hits out of a bar at 2 damage per stamina point. Every swing is noise, though: melee is 35 on the noise scale against 6 for crouching.
Which food lasts longest?
Rice gives the most at 6 portions but has to be cooked. Tins give 2 each and never spoil; fresh greens keep 4 days, cooked pigeon 3 and fridge leftovers 2.
Does carrying water slow you down?
Yes. A full 20 l jerrycan or cleaning bucket cuts your speed to 60%, and even empty they're 88%. Bottles don't slow you at all. Put heavy containers down before climbing.
How many items can I carry?
8 bag slots to start; a Backpack adds 4, Hiking Pack adds 6, Military Pack adds 8. Big things (buckets, boards, the rain barrel) take both hands instead of a slot.
