Abilities

Escape Area
Escape Area is an active ability that causes 40% total HP damage to the user in exchange for a 100% above-ground movement speed boost and a 50% damage debuff for 10 stacks. It has a 75 second cooldown. Additionally, any of the user's depleted stamina is fully replenished. It cannot be used if the user is at less 40% health total.
Bleed Attack (2)
Bleed Attack is a passive ability, where the user inflicts a specific amount of bleed status on a creature with every bite, excluding with breath/ranged abilities or reflecting abilities. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Block Bleed (0.5)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Keen Observer
Keen Observer is a passive ability that allows the user to see the health, equipped Plushies, Traits, and status effects of nearby creatures with a green HP bar over them. Temporary status buffs are set on green, temporary status debuffs on red, traits now present their correct indicator and plushies are marked with their plushie icon.

Behavior

  • Aereis have a close-knit fundamentalist hierarchy, with the "Prophet" positioned on top of the others. It is rumored that "Prophets" posses the ability to allow their believed creator and god to speak through them.
  • Aereises view most creatures as lesser beings.
  • An Aereis's flesh is made of gold. Its core produces nearly an infinite amount of gold/blood, which allows it to be almost immune to most toxins. In fact, an Aereis could live for centuries without withering as long as its core isn't damaged.
  • Aereis and Parahexilian have a long-lasted rivalry. Swarms of Aereis will often unite to engage in huge wars with its rival.

Lore (non-canon)

  • Handcrafted by the hands of an unknown cosmic entity, Aereises fall from the void and into Sonaria in the form of fallen stars made out of molten gold. As the fallen star cools, it gradually takes the form of a vaguely recognizable Aereis, with gold flesh, sinew, and fur forming over its core.
  • Aereis and Sturbi have similar origins and are created by the same being, but the former is closer to its creator in comparison. They have a passive relationship with one another, but Aereises often look down on Sturbi as lesser beings.
  • The magic Aereis's core is made of is potent enough to erode the largest of creature's health if consumed, but enough to sustain and fuel Aereis's older sibling need for magic. This predator and prey relationship between Parahexilian and Aereis led to the development of a long-lasted rivalry. Swarms of Aereis will often unite to engage in huge wars with its rival.
  • Using the light produced when Aereises falls into Sonaria as a guide, other Aereis will go on a rescue mission to retrieve their new kin and welcome them to their kingdom in order to ensure no stray Parahexilian snatches the newly formed Aereis. Additionally, Aereises do this so their newly-formed kin are properly introduced to their god.

Trivia

  • Concept by Snicker_DoodIes. The Aereis was inspired from the concept of stars and fallen stars, although the concept was made so long ago its creator cannot fully recall if there were more inspirations for its design. The name is suspected to draw inspiration from the names of two gods from Greek mythology; Ares, God of War, and Eris, Goddess of Strife and Discord. Aereis, Parahexilian, and Sturbi are all confirmed to come from forging stars, and thus share a similar origin.[1]
  • Redesign concept by Stood_04 and Snicker_DoodIes.
  • Original design modeled by Erythia, with a speed modeling video available on Erythia's YouTube channel.
  • Aereis is the first Exclusive Content Creator creature to release in Creatures of Sonaria, with around 21 official YouTube Content Creators at the time of its release. Only Content Creators can trade the species in the Trade Realm.
  • It is one of the few creatures with golden blood, including others such as Flixlit and the old Archalium.
  • It is the first remodeled creature that changed diet upon being remodeled. Before its remodel, it was a herbivore.
  • The Aereis is often nicknamed "Air eye" or "Pee cat".
  • The Aereis once borrowed calls from the Hushike before new calls were added on May 31st, 2021. [Expand] for Classic Calls.
