Appearance

The Gobli is a small, winged creature about the size of a player's avatar. It has a pair of short and round wings on its back that are structured much like a bat's, having prominent beans at the end of each digit/'finger'. The Gobli also have arms that resemble its wings, with webbed fingers, though they are smaller and don't have as much webbing between them. It also has stumpy, tortoise-like hind legs and a large tail ending in a toe bean. Its head presents a pair of two-pointed-ears, a snout, a mouth with two pairs of slightly curved conical teeth and cartoon-y, large eyes with white sclera and a black iris and pupil. The Gobli's color palette consists of yellows, pink, white, black, and mainly various ombré shades of blue.

**Males**: Males possess a ridge of soft spikes on their neck, right below the chin.

Abilities

Egg Stealer
Egg Stealer is an active ability that allows creatures to steal eggs from the nests of other players. If a creature has this ability, eggs are also highlighted with an egg icon when scenting.
Latch (2)
Latch is an active ability that allows the user to latch onto higher-tiered creatures. Creatures that the user has latched into cannot escape for 5 seconds. After that, the latched creature can struggle by pressing any button and will release such creature from the latch. The user can unlatch at any moment by pressing the same button used to latch in the first place.
Gale

Agile Swimmer
Agile Swimmer is a passive ability that causes the player to receive the following buffs when submerged underwater for more than a second: 100% more stamina regeneration 50% more total stamina 75% more walk speed 75% more sprint speed A % increase in oxygen (oxygen increase percentage is based off the amount of oxygen the creature originally has) Additionally, a glider semi-aquatic (and an aqua-glider) can abuse the extra stamina to increase the number of glide flaps it can perform from the water boosted. Until they touch the ground or stop gliding, the boosted stamina amount will remain.
Climber
Climber is a passive ability that allows the user to walk on walls and ceilings. To detach from a wall, press the Space on PC. On Mobile, press the dedicated Detach button, or, if the creature has Jump, press the jump button.
Quick Recovery
Quick Recovery is a passive ability that boosts HP regeneration when the user's health is below 40%. The lower the health, the higher the HP regeneration boost.

Behavior

  • Gobli will usually befriend their predators, albeit sometimes they fail at this (as said in description).
  • They use their sticky sticky-pads (not only their feet) to climb on many surfaces and escape predators.
  • They are said to be full of childish innocence.

Trivia

  • Concept by @Reptilez_Bugs. The concept creator of Gobli claims to not really remember where they drew inspiration from for Gobli, it was pretty much trial and error that led to Gobli. However, they remember that Gobli's face was inspired by a fish creature on Pinterest. The Gobli draws a little bit of inspiration from crested geckos, hence the sticky paw-pads.
  • CatboyNathann had previously been working on the Gobli model, prior to retirement. JaxonBirb took over the development of Gobli's model from that moment onwards.
  • Animations by BlckBrryJam.
  • The Gobli is called "Gobl" by both the community and even sometimes the Roblox game itself due to the Roblox censor system triggering with a false positive. The Gobli is also called "Goblin", because of the similarity between the two words.
