Abilities

Burrower (3)

Burrower is an active ability that allows the user to place up to 4 (or a specific creature limit) burrows anywhere on the map and use burrows created by other players. If a user places more entrances than the maximum allowed, the oldest burrow and exit will be replaced. A user cannot place a burrow entrance inside its own burrow or inside someone else's burrow. There is a 3 second cooldown between entering and exiting burrows, excluding entering a burrow after its initial placement.

Egg Stealer

Egg Stealer is an active ability that allows creatures to steal eggs from the nests of other players. If a creature has this ability, eggs are also highlighted with an egg icon when scenting.

Healing Pulse

Healing Pulse is an active ability that applies a small hit-point healing buff, as well as the Healing Ailment to creatures around the user and and the user themselves for 12 seconds. When used, a spark explosion effect appears from the user. Has a 90 second cooldown.

Invisibility

Invisibility is an active ability that makes the user invisible to other players when toggled. Invisibility allows the user to walk and swim cloaked as long as they don't bite, use any active ability, sprint, ambush, or jump/fly/glide. While active it does not hide the creature from being spotted by scent. Additionally, invisibility has a 30 second cooldown after being activated; however, deactivating the ability does not modify the cooldown.

Sticky Trap

Sticky Trap is an active ability that allows the user to drop a trap which will cause those ensnared to receive the Sticky Trap Status and 4 seconds of Broken Legs Status. It has a 75-second cooldown. Multiple sticky traps can be placed by the same user, but if two sticky traps of the same user are too close from each another, the oldest one will disappear. If more than 2 sticky traps are placed at one time, the oldest one will eventually despawn. Sticky traps can be destroyed if they receive enough hits.

Bleed Attack (1)

Bleed Attack is a passive ability, where the user inflicts a specific amount of bleed status on a creature with every bite, excluding with breath/ranged abilities or reflecting abilities. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.

Block Bleed (0.25)

Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.

Burn Attack (0.5)

Burn Attack is an ability that offensively deals burn when biting. Stacks with itself. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.

Pack Healer

Pack Healer is a pack-oriented passive ability. This passive ability allows the user to boost the HP regen of their fellow packmates.

Soft Landing (0.75)

Soft Landing is a passive ability that allows the user to fall more slowly, depending on each creature's specific stat number. It works when walking off cliffs/falling, detaching, darting, or jumping. It is cancellable by pressing (Space on PC or or B on Xbox).

Trivia

  • Concept by Xhosa_Onkai on the Creatures of Sonaria discord. Inspired by "Kitsune masks and (surprisingly) cherry blossoms." (quoted by Concept Creator Xhosa_Onkai) Kitsune is the Japanese word for "fox", which are seen as shapeshifting spirits in folklore and often associated with Inari, the Shinto goddess of rice. Some kitsune are trickers spirits, while others are faithful guardians. The amount of tails a kitsune has relates to its age, with the oldest having nine. The Ibetchi's model may have the highest amount of parts out of any creature done so far, as stated by Inonedn on the CoS Discord.

  • The Ibetchi is the first creature which has odd number of limbs (7), the second was Pierry with 5 limbs and the third was Felifaux with 9 limbs. Also, the Ibetchi is the first creature which has hands in place of tails, the second was Pierry and the third was Felifaux.
  • Ibetchi is the second creature to get the Cloud Breath ability, the first being Archalium.
  • It is the second creature with pink blood. Due to that, it drops a pink carcass in Legacy. While in real life, purple-violet blood exists due to hemerythrin, a respiratory pigment of a purplish/violet color once oxygenated, which replaces hemoglobin in several invertebrates.
  • Ibetchi got released alongside Equenix.
  • The creature is usually called "kitsune", "Ibe" or "Ibet", more commonly the first, because of the familiarity and because the real name gets tagged most times in Roblox.
