Appearance

The Jabblebashhe is characterized by its bipedal form, which consists of a long body with two slender limbs. The skin of the creature is covered in melted ice cream-like markings, which can be seen down the neck and chest as well as on the top of the head. The head and neck are adorned with three pairs of large, candle-like horns, each of which is tipped with a "wick" from which pink flames are emitting form. The back of the creature protrudes from three waffle cone-shaped structures, all of which are adorned with similar flames. The Jabblebashhe features a single, unipupilled eye at the center of the face, as well as a wide mouth with sharp teeth and a striped tongue.

Abilities

Bleed Attack (4)
Bleed Attack is a passive ability, where the user inflicts a specific amount of bleed status on a creature with every bite, excluding with breath/ranged abilities or reflecting abilities. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Block Bleed (0.3)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Defensive Burn (1)
Burn touch/Defensive burn is an ability that deals burn to the opposing creature when being bitten. Stacks with itself.

Behavior

  • Jabblebashhe is a ferocious foe that constantly craves flesh to sustain its undying hunger. This hunger is caused by its unfortunate trait of ever-melting and boiling skin. If Jabblebashhe ever consumes a creature, that creature's flesh will be melted down and used to create a new layer of "ice cream". This constant melting is the cause of its skinny appearance.
  • Jabblebashhe's skin can start to nearly harden under freezing temperatures, slowing the speed at which flesh drips off of its body. Because of this, although extremely unlikely, Jabblebashhe could gain considerable weight by consuming creatures in these conditions, and lose its usual skinny appearance.
  • As it runs the risk of becoming too hot for its own good, Jabblebashhe is able to let out a stream of flames. This can lower its rising temperature and avoid certain death.

Trivia

  • Concept by MacRenee in the Creatures of Sonaria Discord. Jabblebashhe's design was based off of ice-cream birthday cake, in addition to being based of its original unused concept. Under the Jabblebashhe's name on the concept art, there is a line of text that mistakenly reads "The desert that bites back" instead of "The dessert that bites back".
  • Modeled by JaxonBird.
  • Rigged by ThunderBoo666.
  • Animations by BlckBrryJam.
  • A previous version of Jabblebashhe's design was used by MacRenee as part of their concept developer application. This older design lacks any sweets-themed features and was used as a base for Jabblebashhe's current iteration.
  • While Jabblebashhe's stats no longer match MacRenee's idea for the creature, its constantly-burning nature is still reflected in its in-game description.
