Appearance

The Luxsces is a bipedal creature with long claws and sturdy thighs. It has a long, thick tail that has a pattern which resembles that of the night sky. Its tail is medium-sized, with the night sky pattern and light blue stripes on it- and has a golden triangular structure at the end of it. The Luxsces's wings reaches over its shoulders and has gold spikes on some ends of its body. The Luxsces has a black mane that reaches from the rear of its neck to the front of its face, a blue-striped chest and neck, and a golden armor plate on top of its back. It has a V-shaped helmet in a color similar to the night sky, with thin gold lines, and blue frills that extend from its chin. Moreover, the Luxsces has purple/blue "smoke" rising from its mouth and a little golden "beard" on the tip of its chin.

Luxsces has no gender dimorphism.

Abilities

Invisibility
Invisibility is an active ability that makes the user invisible to other players when toggled. Invisibility allows the user to walk and swim cloaked as long as they don't bite, use any active ability, sprint, ambush, or jump/fly/glide. While active it does not hide the creature from being spotted by scent. Additionally, invisibility has a 30 second cooldown after being activated; however, deactivating the ability does not modify the cooldown.
Spite (2.00)
Spite is an active ability that increases a user's next attack damage based on its power meter, which gradually fills once the ability is triggered and then drains to 0 if no creature is attacked by the user during this time. It also has a customizable percentage (%) of the creature's damage (the % listed is the max of said creature's Spite power). Alongside raw damage, the user inflicts double ailments on their targets. The ability has a 20-second cooldown that starts upon activation.
Block Bleed (0.35)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Charge (Power)
Charge is a passive ability that gradually fills an orange "Charge" bar (unique to creatures with this ability) while running. Once completely full, clicking (Lmb on PC or on Mobile or RT on Xbox) will apply special effects on a creature the user is hitting. If the bar is not full, charge effects may be reduced or non-existent. Current Charge types:
Injury Attack (1)
Injury Attack is an ability that offensively deals injury status when biting. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.

Behavior

  • It is said that Luxsces is an extremely intelligent species, sometimes seen trying to converse with other species of similar intelligence levels.
  • The smoke coming from their vent gets thicker as they age, a result of them gaining more knowledge.
  • Luxsces are biologically immortal. They do not die of old age, but can die due to fatal injury.
  • NOTE: this is not planned to be applied to in-game mechanics: Luxsces are exclusively male only, and do not reproduce.

Lore (non-canon)

  • Luxsces are exclusively male only, and do not reproduce. The origin of birth for the current and only population is unknown. Because they cannot reproduce, there is only one generation of extant Luxsces.
  • Luxsces are star-born and have origins outside of Sonaria. They can hitch rides on comets and asteroids, and can survive the vacuum of space.

Trivia

  • Concept by Kyzenith (Kyzuha#8054) on the Creatures of Sonaria discord. Inspired by Jotaro/Star Platinum from JoJo, galaxies, and some elements of the Therizinosaurus. The colors were mainly inspired by Star Platinum.
  • Stated by Naut that the Luxsces is related to the Qurugosk.
  • The Luxsces released on 3/18/2022 along with Veldys, Levoneh and Tarakotu.
  • Also nicknamed "The JoJo Creature", due to its Aggro and Cowering animations both being from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure character "Jotaro".
  • Due to a mistake, the Luxsces originally cost 1,500 Shooms. The price was fixed not long after.
