About Sochuri

Sochuri is a Gacha Creature in Creatures of Sonaria. It is a Tier 3 flying creature that has a carnivore diet. It currently holds a trade value of 20-160 with medium demand and is considered stable in the trading market. It was added to the game on August 23, 2020.

Grab

Grab is an active ability that allows the user to pick up a lower-tiered creature. Grabbed creatures cannot escape for 5 seconds. After that, the grabbed creature can struggle by pressing any button and will be released from the grab. The user can ungrab at any moment by pressing the same button used to grab. A creature darting from outside water will grab any creature it finds automatically.

Bleed Attack (2)

Bleed Attack is a passive ability, where the user inflicts a specific amount of bleed status on a creature with every bite, excluding with breath/ranged abilities or reflecting abilities. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.

Block Bleed (0.35)

Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.

Volcanic

Volcanic is a passive ability that grants users the ability to walk in lava without getting hurt or suffering status debuffs. During Famine and Drought, it additionally grants a 50% health regeneration boost and 25% thirst and hunger rate reduction. Volcanic does not protect a creature from Shadow Isle's corrupted lava.

Appearance

The Sochuri appears as a bat-like, average-sized wyvern with long bat-like ears on their head and fur fringing their ankles and mane-like fur covering their necks. Its chest has rib-like spikes lining the front of it, and its feet appear to be talons. It has white teeth along with a pink forked tongue. **Males**: Males have spikes above their nose, along the chest, and behind their cheek. Males have spikes above their nose, along the chest, and behind their cheek. **Females**: Females have extra fur on their neck and the back of their legs. Trivia

  • Designed by Kiokari in the Creatures of Sonaria Discord.
  • Redesigned by Stood_04. The Sochuri redesign was based off of the original Sochuri, as well as bats. Sochuri's original model was from a game called "Dragonaria", a dragon survival game by Sonar Studios that got scrapped. Sochuri once had physical mutations, which had a chance to appear. These mutations default every time a save file is loaded in the customization menu. These mutations currently don't show, as mutations have been disabled, and these physical mutations do not show on the remodel either (not including Sochuri's gender dimorphism, which isn't a mutation).
  • Modeled by Erythia.
  • It was one of the creatures available in pre-Beta testing.
  • Sochuri was the first creature to receive the Fire Breath ability.
  • It was one of the most dominant creatures in the beginning of the game, only being rivaled by Nindyr.
  • Legacy Sochuri could survive to age 100 (Elder) without drinking water.
  • The Sochuri's remodel grapple animation on Legacy is currently glitched, as it is for most wall clingers.
  • The Sochuri's head received a remodel on May 21st, 2022.
  • When creating a new Sochuri to play as in the menu, on Legacy the wing's webs do not show up. Many other fliers which use Roblox's beams as webbing share this trait.
  • Before its redesign, Sochuri was able to carry carcasses bigger than itself.
