How a catch rolls its mutation and size
A catch rolls once for its mutation, and 79.5% of the time it gets none. Then it rolls for size: each size-up multiplies it by 1.5, and it keeps going until a roll misses, with every success making the next one a little likelier. The two stack on income, so a mutated, oversized animal from an early area can out-earn a plain one from further down the lane. Work out any combination in the income calculator.
Questions
How rare is a Rainbow animal?
0.5% of catches, 1 in 200, and it multiplies the animal's income by 20. A Rainbow INFINITE animal is 1 in 3.7M.
How do sizes work?
Every catch has a 20% chance to size up by 1.5x. Each size-up raises the chance of the next by 5%, up to 40%, and the first miss stops it. Income grows with size to the power 1.8, so a BIG animal earns x2.07 and INFINITE at least x712.33.
Do mutation and size stack?
Yes. Income is the animal's base times the mutation's multiplier times size to the 1.8, and selling pays 20 times that.
