Appearance
The Ikoran is a quadrupedal lion-like creature that is primarily purple/pink and yellow/orange. The horns on its head, alongside a mane/crest, give it a lion-like appearance with a small maw lined with serrated teeth, used for attacking and bleeding out small prey. Running along its body are several fins; the fins on its front shoulders are noticeably large and have the appearance of wings or pectoral fins (despite this, Ikoran cannot fly, glide or even swim).
**Males**: Male Ikoran have a small horn at the top of their heads.

**Females**: Female Ikorans are equipped with two extra beard parts on their face and a tuft on the end of their tails.

Trivia
- Concept by NauticaElurra. The Ikoran was inspired by a lion and shooting stars.
- Redesign concept by Stood. The Ikoran redesign, aside from being based off of the original Ikoran, was also inspired by fairy wings. The frills were originally meant to have a wispy-transparent look, but unfortunately weren't put on the model due to Stood not saying anything before.
- The legacy design was modeled and animated by Erythia, and the redesign was modeled by Azaph and animated by BlckBrryJam.
- Ikoran was once featured on the thumbnail for Creatures of Sonaria.
- It was the first finished creature in developing phases for Erythia and the other Developers.
- Ikoran was previously one of the three starter creatures, before being replaced by the Reviiaton, which is currently no longer a starter creature either. Still, as seen on the Test World and Erythia's Map Redesign, if you somehow end with no species, you'll be able to spawn as Ikoran (and not any other Starter Creature) by default.
- It was one of the creatures that could jump in the Beta Legacy version of the game, and got it back in Recode.
- In the Beta version of the Legacy game, Ikoran had a G (Graze) animation.
- Legacy Ikoran's juvenile stage was the same size as its adult Ikoran size.
- The pre-remodel had a hard-to-paint spot on the back of the Ikoran's neck that can only be reached at a very specific angle by positioning the viewer's camera inside the fur parts of the model looking at the area from the front view.
- Pre-remodel Ikoran had a bugged hide scent animation, which was fixed on the remodel.
- Two remodeled Ikoran can be found at Trade Realm. The oldest one was a grey statue, now removed, on top of a fountain. The newest one is an animated interactive NPC called Mylo, whose purpose is to help newer players with the basics of Trade Realm. By holding E near Mylo for a while, you'll open a special help window and start a conversation with this NPC. Mylo holds a few differences with the baseline remodeled Ikoran. The first you'll notice is how their eyes are bigger and tinted a bluish color; the second is when speaking with Mylo (selecting any of the help fields on their menu), its lips and jaws move to simulate speech; it's at that moment when you'll notice the third one, it has less teeth than its in-game counterpart.
- Legacy Ikoran on Erythia's Map Redesign use roblox avatar death sounds as calls.
- Remodel modeled by Midnight.
- Remodel rigged by Hello_ItsMe.
- Remodel animated by Mezz and BlckBrryJam.
