How the biomes are laid out

Each biome is guarded by one big pet sleeping on eight eggs. Grab an egg and the guard wakes and chases you back to your plot, so the faster the biome, the more Speed you need: the sign at the entrance shows the number. The speed calculator says how long each sign takes on your treadmill.

How much Speed do I need for each biome?

Forest 11, Lake 900, Desert 10K, Jungle 40K, Snow 170K, Volcano 700K, Abyss Ocean 2.5M, Prehistoric 18M, Cosmic 700M, Cherry Blossom 2.5B, Titan Temple 7B, Angels & Demons 20B, Enchanted Forest 50B. The number is on the sign at each biome's entrance.

Why does the guard catch me?

Each guard runs at its own speed, from 16 in Forest to 251.1 in Enchanted Forest, and you carry an egg slower than you walk. The sign's Speed is what the game works out you need to make it home.

What do I get for completing a biome's index?

That biome's bat (the Titan Temple gives an axe, Cherry Blossom a katana) plus the Speed reward from each pet's first index entry, totalled on each biome here.
