Where the numbers come from

The calculator runs the game's own earnings code: base rate, then the size payout (steep up to 5x, slower after), then every mutation added together. We checked it against 20 pets placed on other players' plots, and each of their $/s labels comes out exactly. Pets sell for 100 seconds of their income and unhatched eggs for 80 seconds of the plain pet's. How often each size rolls is on the sizes page.

Questions

How is a pet's money per second worked out?

Its base rate times a size payout times its mutations, rounded. A 3x Shark ($15K/s base) pays x7.63 for size, so $114K/s; Golden on top makes it $286K/s.

Do mutations multiply each other?

No, they add. Each mutation adds its multiplier minus one, so Golden (x2.5) and Scrambled (x2.75) together make x4.25, not x6.88.

Does a bigger pet always earn more?

Yes, but the curve flattens after 5x: size pays size^1.85 up to 5x (x19.64 at 5x), then grows slower, x45.12 at 10x and x168.61 at 30x.

What does the x2 Money pass do?

It adds one to a bonus multiplier on every placed pet, doubling its money per second. It doesn't change what a pet or egg sells for.
