Getting Started

Beginner Guide

Survive LAVA for Brainrots is a tycoon-style Roblox game where you run into the field, grab brainrots, and rush back to your base before the lava rises and engulfs the map. This guide covers all the core mechanics and tips to help you progress fast.

How the Game Works

The map has a field filled with brainrots and structures. You cross the white line to enter the field and grab brainrots to bring back to your base. The brainrots closest to the starting line are the lowest rarity — you need to go further out to find higher value brainrots.

At regular intervals, lava rises from underneath and floods the field. The game sends a notification before it starts, giving you time to either run back to your base or climb onto a tall structure to avoid the lava.

Your Base

Your base is the plot assigned to you when you join. It has slots where you place brainrots, and those brainrots generate money for you over time. If you run out of slots, you can upgrade your base by interacting with the board outside it.

You can upgrade your base 20 times. The price increases with each upgrade, so save up enough money. More slots means more brainrots generating cash, which snowballs your earnings.

Upgrade Shop

The Upgrade Shop is near the starting line and lets you boost your stats:

  • Speed — The most important upgrade. Faster speed lets you reach further into the field and get back before the lava rises. You can buy +1, +5, or +10 Speed at increasing prices
  • Carry Capacity — Purchased from the separate Carry Shop. Lets you carry more brainrots at once so you don't have to make as many trips

Lucky Block Machine

The Lucky Block Machine is on the left side of the map. You can craft Lucky Blocks using recipes that require three specific brainrots and cost 50M money. The recipes rotate, so check back regularly to see what is available. Lucky Blocks give you a chance at rare and mutated brainrots.

Rebirth

Rebirthing resets your speed in exchange for permanent bonuses. Each rebirth level requires a specific speed level, so do not rebirth until you have high-rarity brainrots in your base generating enough money to buy back your speed quickly. Click the rebirth icon on the left side of the screen to check requirements.

Combat and Stealing

Other players can try to knock you out and steal your brainrots. You can use the Bat to fight back. If someone is chasing you while you are carrying a valuable brainrot, drop it, pull out your bat, and fight for it.

Tips for Fast Progression

  • Don't rush — Take your time navigating the field. Being hasty can get you killed by lava
  • Upgrade speed first — Speed is the most important stat in the game. Prioritize it above everything else
  • Upgrade carry capacity — Bringing back multiple brainrots per run is far more efficient than one at a time
  • Climb structures — If you get caught in the field when lava rises, head for high ground instead of trying to outrun it
  • Use the Lucky Block Machine — Craft Lucky Blocks with three brainrots and 50M for a chance at rare and mutated brainrots
  • Save for base upgrades — More base slots means more brainrots earning money passively
