Mutations

Mutations are special variants of brainrots in Survive LAVA for Brainrots that earn significantly more money than their base versions. Mutated brainrots have a unique color appearance and display the mutation name above their head, making them easy to spot on the map.

All Mutations and Multipliers

There are five mutations in the game, each with a different multiplier that increases the brainrot's earning rate and value:

Mutation	Multiplier	Appearance
Gold	1.5x	Complete yellow appearance with "Gold" text above head
Diamond	2x	Complete cyan (diamond-like) appearance with "Diamond" text above head
Emerald	3x	Complete lime (emerald-like) appearance with "Emerald" text above head
Bloodmoon	4x	Complete red appearance with "Bloodmoon" text above head
Rainbow	10x	Rainbow appearance with "Rainbow" text above head — the newest and rarest mutation

How to Get Mutated Brainrots

Mutated brainrots spawn automatically across all rarity areas on the map. You do not need to do anything special to make them appear. To collect one, look for brainrots with a unique color and mutation text above their head, pick it up, and bring it back to your base.

Mutations During Admin Abuse

Mutated brainrots have a higher spawn rate during Admin Abuse events. If you want to farm mutated brainrots for your base and get a massive earning boost, make sure you do not miss the next Admin Abuse event.

Mutation Rules

Each brainrot can only have one mutation — brainrots cannot have multiple mutations
There is no way to apply or change a mutation on an existing brainrot
Lucky Blocks cannot have mutations, but the brainrots you get from a Lucky Block can spawn with any mutation
Mutations work on any brainrot regardless of rarity tier

Best Mutation

Rainbow is the newest and highest-tier mutation in the game with a massive 10x multiplier, surpassing Bloodmoon. If you spot a Rainbow brainrot on the field, prioritize grabbing it immediately. Bloodmoon remains the second best at 4x.
