Appearance

The Astrothi is a small, six-limbed moth-like creature. Despite being quadrupedal, it has an additional set of small arms near its front legs. The Astrothi has wings that resemble both luna moths and Atlas moths because of its normal forewings and uniquely tapered hind wings. Its tail tapers in a way that resembles an insect's abdomen but is more curved. It has long, fluffy antennae, as well as small, mandible-like features.

**Males**: Males have additional tufts of fur on the back of their necks.

Abilities

Burrower (4)
Burrower is an active ability that allows the user to place up to 4 (or a specific creature limit) burrows anywhere on the map and use burrows created by other players. If a user places more entrances than the maximum allowed, the oldest burrow and exit will be replaced. A user cannot place a burrow entrance inside its own burrow or inside someone else's burrow. There is a 3 second cooldown between entering and exiting burrows, excluding entering a burrow after its initial placement.
Drowsy Area
Drowsy Area is an active ability that gives those within its area of effect the drowsy status, slowing their bite speed and severely slowing them down in movement and turn speed. Has a 60 second cooldown.
Egg Stealer
Egg Stealer is an active ability that allows creatures to steal eggs from the nests of other players. If a creature has this ability, eggs are also highlighted with an egg icon when scenting.
Block Bleed (0.1)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Defensive Corrosion (3.5)
Defensive Corrosion/Corrosive Body is an ability that defensively deals Corrosion Status when bitten. Stacks with itself.
Defensive Poison (3.5)
Defensive Poison/Melee Toxin is a passive ability that makes the user deal Poison Status to an attacker upon being attacked. Stacks with itself.
Quick Recovery
Quick Recovery is a passive ability that boosts HP regeneration when the user's health is below 40%. The lower the health, the higher the HP regeneration boost.

Trivia

  • Designed by malarkeii. The Astrothi was inspired by moths. According to lore, Astrothi is evolutionarily related to the Momola.
  • Modeled, rigged, and animated by Erythia.
  • Astrothi is the second creature to receive the Area Sleep ability in Legacy, the first being Ghibli.
  • Astrothi is the third creature that cannot fly as a juvenile, after Momola and Shiyaro, and before Akorbik, Anutill, Dabaemura, Hallucinix, Lucensia, Noctla'Lune, Voletexius, Wuggawyrm, Xeleviprex, and Zhelijin.
  • The Astrothi is the first creature to have a floating/flying Z (Aggro) animation, resulting in an awkward floating motion. The N/mud animation leads to an aggro-like animation. This is no longer a feature in game, as the Z/Aggro animation does the previous N/Mud animation, while the N/Mud animation has a new animation.
  • An Elder Astrothi is about as tall as a juvenile Sochuri.
  • In-game, it is nicknamed "Astro" or "Moth" due to Roblox's automatic chat filters.
  • The Astrothi once borrowed calls from the Momola before new calls were added on May 31st, 2021. [Expand] for Classic Calls.
