Appearance

The Doragonix's appearance resembles Leopard geckos and the depictions of Dilophosaurus seen in the "Jurassic" franchise. Doragonix's tail clearly resembles that of a dragonfruit, and upon losing the tail, the flesh looks like the flesh of a dragonfruit. It has three toes on each foot, each equipped with large claws. It has two crests at the sides of its head, which uses to scare off predators. Doragonix's eyes are similar to a Leopard geckos', with a black, vertical pupil. Its body is splashed with patterns that are identical to the flesh of a dragonfruit, as the white marks resembles to flesh, and the black speckles are the seeds.

Abilities

Burrower (2)
Burrower is an active ability that allows the user to place up to 4 (or a specific creature limit) burrows anywhere on the map and use burrows created by other players. If a user places more entrances than the maximum allowed, the oldest burrow and exit will be replaced. A user cannot place a burrow entrance inside its own burrow or inside someone else's burrow. There is a 3 second cooldown between entering and exiting burrows, excluding entering a burrow after its initial placement.
Egg Stealer
Egg Stealer is an active ability that allows creatures to steal eggs from the nests of other players. If a creature has this ability, eggs are also highlighted with an egg icon when scenting.
Tail Drop
Tail Drop is an active ability which allows a user to intentionally self-amputate a its tail. After committing this action, the user gains the Tail Dropped status, and the tail becomes a meat drop that provides enriched when eaten. If the tail comes from a Photovore or Photocarnivore, it can also be eaten by Herbivores. It has a 10 second cooldown. It takes some percent of the hunger bar to regrow the tail (unless a creature menus).
Block Bleed (0.20)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Defensive Bleed (2)
Defensive Bleed is a passive ability where the user defensively inflicts a specific amount of bleed status on their attacker upon being bitten.
Poison Attack (2)
Poison Attack is a passive ability that makes the user deal Poison Status to another creature upon biting them. It stacks with itself. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Quick Recovery
Quick Recovery is a passive ability that boosts HP regeneration when the user's health is below 40%. The lower the health, the higher the HP regeneration boost.

Trivia

  • Designed by T-B the Siamosaurus, also known as thebunny2006, on the Creatures of Sonaria Discord. The Doragonix is based off a dragonfruit, flower, and the Dilophosaurus.
  • Modeled by Erythia.
  • Redesign concept by Mori_Tomori.
  • Redesign modeled by ThunderBoo666.
  • It used to show up in the thumbnail from when the game is loading, along with some Minawii on its head.
  • Each crest in-game has 3 fins. However, in that former creatures of Sonaria logo, they possessed four.
  • Doragonix is the first creature with Autotomy ability. This ability is now called Tail Drop and is shared with many others, such as Fyranili and Eulopii. If the Doragonix sheds its tail as a Glimmer in Legacy, the tail will revert back to normal. This is no longer true in Recode, since dropping a tail as any creature will result in a carcass being dropped instead of an actual fallen tail.
  • It has pinkish-red blood in the Legacy version of the game. Due to this, when dying in Legacy, it drops a pinkish-red carcass. On this case, the pinkish hue may be a reference to its dragon fruit inspiration. Doragonix's blood color was changed to the default red upon the release of the Recode version of the game.
  • It was the first photocarnivore in-game. This may be a reference to desert cacti, as they do not need much water in the wild.
  • You can select the colors from the bioluminescent parts of the crest or chin whiskers, and those from the eyes to paint your creature with colors outside its normal pallet. However, they'll only display in the main and paint menu. Trying to spawn in with this color on a skin will result in that color being turned gray.
