How pet eggs work
Buy an egg at the Pet Shop for $25,000, place it inside your fence and it hatches in 20m. Up to 3 can hatch at once. The pet is rolled when it hatches: Cobra 90%, Centipede 3.5%, Cat 3.5%, Cow 2.9%, Thai Ridgeback 0.1%.
Only one pet guards your farm at a time. It stays within 30 m of home, tries to catch a thief within 4.5 studs, then waits 1.5 seconds before it can try again.

What do pets do?
One pet at a time guards your farm at night, chasing thieves during the Purge. Its speed bonus is how much faster than a thief it runs, so a Thai Ridgeback outruns one by 15%.
Do pets get hungry?
Yes. Hunger drops by 25 an hour from 100, so a full pet is empty in 4 hours. Below 20 it counts as hungry, and each feed puts back 40.
