Appearance

The Exterreri is a large reptile-like creature similar to the Komodo dragon, but with some rauisuchian features, such as a Fasolasuchus. 'Fur' runs along its neck and ends in a long sickle-shaped tail. Additionally, it has boney fingers and toes. Several armor plates cover its tail and jaw. Each of its four legs are adorned with a large eye on the shoulder/thigh. The primary feature of the species is its elongated, rectangular head, which presents a large gap between its teeth and jaws, and its mouth displaying white sharp teeth, a red long pointed tongue; and three eyes on each side of its face, with horizontal slit pupils similar to that of a goat or sheep.

**Males**: Males have frills at the end of their tail.

Abilities

Cause Fear
Cause Fear is an active ability and Recode's equivalent of Fear. It gives all creatures around the user 10 stacks (30 seconds) of Scared Status effect, and has a cooldown of 120 seconds (2 minutes).
Grab
Grab is an active ability that allows the user to pick up a lower-tiered creature. Grabbed creatures cannot escape for 5 seconds. After that, the grabbed creature can struggle by pressing any button and will be released from the grab. The user can ungrab at any moment by pressing the same button used to grab. A creature darting from outside water will grab any creature it finds automatically.
Agile Swimmer
Agile Swimmer is a passive ability that causes the player to receive the following buffs when submerged underwater for more than a second: 100% more stamina regeneration 50% more total stamina 75% more walk speed 75% more sprint speed A % increase in oxygen (oxygen increase percentage is based off the amount of oxygen the creature originally has) Additionally, a glider semi-aquatic (and an aqua-glider) can abuse the extra stamina to increase the number of glide flaps it can perform from the water boosted. Until they touch the ground or stop gliding, the boosted stamina amount will remain.
Block Bleed (1.00)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Block Burn (-0.25)
Burn Block/Block Burn is a passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting burn status from melee attacks. It is percentage based. For example, if an attacker deals 5 burn per hit and the receiver has 60% block burn, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 burn. If a creature's block burn is 100%, then they are immune to Burn inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. A negative value may indicate that the creature is vulnerable to burn effects.
Block Injury (0.40)
Injury Block/Block Injury is a passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting Injury status from melee attacks at the very least. It is percentage based, e.g. if an attacker deals 5 Injury per hit and the receiver has 60% Injury Block, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 Injury.
Charge (Crush)
Charge is a passive ability that gradually fills an orange "Charge" bar (unique to creatures with this ability) while running. Once completely full, clicking (Lmb on PC or on Mobile or RT on Xbox) will apply special effects on a creature the user is hitting. If the bar is not full, charge effects may be reduced or non-existent. Current Charge types:
Climber
Climber is a passive ability that allows the user to walk on walls and ceilings. To detach from a wall, press the Space on PC. On Mobile, press the dedicated Detach button, or, if the creature has Jump, press the jump button.
Corrosion Attack (2)
Corrosion Attack/Corrosion Bite is an ability that offensively deals Corrosion when biting. It stacks with itself. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Injury Attack (4)
Injury Attack is an ability that offensively deals injury status when biting. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Iron Stomach
Iron Stomach is a passive ability that allows the user to eat rotten meat without getting negative ailments from it--preventing them from getting the Sickly Status.
Wing Shredder (1)
Wing Shredder is a passive ability that allows the user to offensively deal the Shredded Wings status to a creature they bite..

Behavior

  • The Exterreri prefers to live in swamps.

Trivia

  • Designed by @EastByEast(East) on the Creatures of Sonaria Discord. Based off a Komodo dragon. Despite what people might say, Exterreri is not based on a crocodilian, but only (very) slightly of their pseudosuchian predecessors. It lacks any swimming features, making it non-aquatic, although its sickle tail may be mistaken for a fin. Despite this, people still claim it is based on crocodilian, possibly because of the shape of its head and the ridges running down its tail.
  • Modeled by Erythia.
  • Redesign by Stood (Stood_04). According to Stood, "Ext's redesign was a remake of an older redesign I made along with east ages ago, it resembled the original design much more but it was decided a little more detail and spice was wanted, so I went for a more mutated look focusing on the boney plate features, eyes, and 'veins'".
  • Redesign modeled by yezzein.
  • Redesign animations by BlckBrryJam.
  • It was one of the few playable creatures during the game's Beta stage.
  • On June 18th, 2021, the Exterreri was moved from the Random Gacha and Carnivores Gacha to the Session Gacha.
  • 'Exterreri' translates to "Nightmare" or "Terror" in Latin. Interestingly, after being moved to Session Gacha, it gained the "Fear" ability.
  • It is the first creature with the Night Stalker ability.
  • There is a bug that does not allow players to paint white spots red. If they try, it'll revert to default.
  • Exterreri can be colored blue by selecting the navy blue on the default skin, but will show as default in-game.
