Appearance

The Chisudo appears to be a small-medium wyvern, sporting a weirdly-shaped, large beak with black gums and sharp teeth, as well as wings with separate membranes. Each wing has a single large, clawed thumb with a striped pattern. It sports vibrant green-yellow colors, along with black markings on its body, wings, and tail. Across its body are segments of armor, commonly with spikes protruding from the segments. The largest of these spikes are the four on the back of its neck, sharper and more curved than the rest, similar in appearance to the membranes of its wings.

Abilities

Egg Stealer
Egg Stealer is an active ability that allows creatures to steal eggs from the nests of other players. If a creature has this ability, eggs are also highlighted with an egg icon when scenting.
Grab
Grab is an active ability that allows the user to pick up a lower-tiered creature. Grabbed creatures cannot escape for 5 seconds. After that, the grabbed creature can struggle by pressing any button and will be released from the grab. The user can ungrab at any moment by pressing the same button used to grab. A creature darting from outside water will grab any creature it finds automatically.
Bleed Attack (2)
Bleed Attack is a passive ability, where the user inflicts a specific amount of bleed status on a creature with every bite, excluding with breath/ranged abilities or reflecting abilities. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Block Bleed (0.75)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Block Burn (0.35)
Burn Block/Block Burn is a passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting burn status from melee attacks. It is percentage based. For example, if an attacker deals 5 burn per hit and the receiver has 60% block burn, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 burn. If a creature's block burn is 100%, then they are immune to Burn inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. A negative value may indicate that the creature is vulnerable to burn effects.
Corrosion Attack (2)
Corrosion Attack/Corrosion Bite is an ability that offensively deals Corrosion when biting. It stacks with itself. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Iron Stomach
Iron Stomach is a passive ability that allows the user to eat rotten meat without getting negative ailments from it--preventing them from getting the Sickly Status.

Trivia

  • The original design for this creature was designed by @Freakshow in the Creatures of Sonaria Discord. The Chisudo wasn't inspired by anything in particular. However, its description implies it is not of natural origin, as they are "replicated". Its name may be referred to by "血(read as 'chi')", which in Japanese means "blood", the thing they seek according to its creature description.

  • Chisudo's Offensive Burn was planned to be replaced with offensive acid.
  • The Chisudo has vibrant green blood. Due to this, when killed, the Chisudo drops a green carcass in Legacy. This is an actual color in some Earth creatures: both from those that use chlorocruorin, a green oxygen carrier that replaces hemoglobin in some invertebrates' blood and in some vertebrates (like some green-blooded lizards) that have adapted to carry lethal amounts of biliverdin in their blood, which is a toxic byproduct of heme catabolism whose only good side is that it has antimutagenic properties, with the latter being more fitting for the Chisudo's lore and possible acid abilities.
  • Despite how its description states they may use wood or meat to fuel themselves, in-game, the Chisudo is a strict carnivore.
  • Chisudo is sometimes nicknamed as ‘Chis’, ‘Chisu’ and ‘Chi’ by the community.
