The Laharpes is a quadrupedal with many gilded decorations. Its most notable feature is the crest on its head that resembles a lyre or harp. It has a beaked snout, several tufts of fluff hanging from the sides of its face, and a fluffy mane. On its shoulder and haunches are some swirling designs tipped with feathers, giving the appearance of wings. The Laharpes has a mid-sized tail, with a decoration shaped like a heart on the tip.

Abilities

Drowsy Area
Drowsy Area is an active ability that gives those within its area of effect the drowsy status, slowing their bite speed and severely slowing them down in movement and turn speed. Has a 60 second cooldown.
Heal Aura (2)
Heal Aura is a toggleable active ability that performs a total % HP healing to creatures in a 175 stud range from the user, excluding the user itself. The raw amount of HP healed is different according to the creature. It has a 5-second cooldown after being toggled on but can be deactivated at any time. While active, the user emits a large green plus sign that fades in and out, and all nearby creatures will have positive healing numbers.
Bleed Attack (5)
Bleed Attack is a passive ability, where the user inflicts a specific amount of bleed status on a creature with every bite, excluding with breath/ranged abilities or reflecting abilities. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Block Bleed (0.60)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Broodwatcher
Broodwatcher is a passive ability that allows users to assist in the gestation of other players' eggs. It applies one stack of Gestation to nearby creatures, which increases other creatures' egg gestation speed by 2.5%. The total buff any nesting species can receive is 5%, so only two Broodwatchers can be effective at any one time. Additionally, when sitting near a nest, the Broodwatcher gains 5 Defensive, which starts to decrease if they move.
Healing Step (1.5)
Healing Step is a passive ability that activates when the user's health drops to 65% or less. The user leaves a healing trail that restores a customizable % of max health to both the user and any recipients who step in it. This ability only affects the user and their packmates, and the trail is visible only to them. Each trail segment lasts for 8 seconds, with a maximum of 13 segments active at a time.
Pack Healer
Pack Healer is a pack-oriented passive ability. This passive ability allows the user to boost the HP regen of their fellow packmates.
Quick Recovery
Quick Recovery is a passive ability that boosts HP regeneration when the user's health is below 40%. The lower the health, the higher the HP regeneration boost.
Serrated Teeth
Serrated Teeth is a passive ability that offensively inflicts Deep Wounds status when biting.
Soft Landing (0.92)
Soft Landing is a passive ability that allows the user to fall more slowly, depending on each creature's specific stat number. It works when walking off cliffs/falling, detaching, darting, or jumping. It is cancellable by pressing (Space on PC or or B on Xbox).
Will To Live
Will To Live is a passive ability that allows the user to sprint without spending stamina. However, if stamina is depleted and the creature attempts to sprint, it will deal 3% of health every 3 seconds.
Wing Shredder (2)
Wing Shredder is a passive ability that allows the user to offensively deal the Shredded Wings status to a creature they bite..

Behavior

  • Laharpes is a silent predator aside from the music it plays.
  • Music is played by vibrations to shake the strings. The notes aren't perfect but pleasing enough to attract nearby creatures and have them follow Laharpes. It's possible to attract something either too powerful and possibly die to their own mistake, or attract prey.
  • Parents play music to encourage young to follow them.
  • Baby Laharpes don't have fully developed instruments. They try to play along with their parents but sound out of tune. The babies sound like someone smacking a harp.
  • Laharpes communicate through harp vibrations. Ex. Fast tunes signal danger.
