Appearance

Salrahn is a mid-sized creature with a brawny build that's hunched with a long neck and two wing-like limbs, with long finger-like extensions branching from the wing. The head is smooth with a slope at the nose leading to a point closer to the eyes, with a large tooth-like spike protruding out from the bottom jaw, that is split into two parts, along with a dark-reddish tongue. Along the neck is an arrangement of squared bone-like features that continues down the spine. Similar bone-like characteristics are found on the wings, ribs, larger ones on the shoulders, and even larger structures on the hind legs. A large cavity in its chest reveals its insides and rib cage. This creature has a limited color range of worn-white, dark red, and dark green.

Abilities

Cause Fear
Cause Fear is an active ability and Recode's equivalent of Fear. It gives all creatures around the user 10 stacks (30 seconds) of Scared Status effect, and has a cooldown of 120 seconds (2 minutes).
Grab
Grab is an active ability that allows the user to pick up a lower-tiered creature. Grabbed creatures cannot escape for 5 seconds. After that, the grabbed creature can struggle by pressing any button and will be released from the grab. The user can ungrab at any moment by pressing the same button used to grab. A creature darting from outside water will grab any creature it finds automatically.
Block Bleed (0.35)
Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a percentage based passive ability that grants the user resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at minimum. If an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Bleed, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages. If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. If a creature's Block Bleed is negative, it may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect.
Block Disease (0.55)
Disease Block/Block Disease is a passive ability that grants the user partial resistance to getting the Disease status from attacks. It is percentage based. For example, if an attacker deals 5 Disease per hit and the receiver has 60% Block Disease, then the receiver gets only 2 of 6 stacks. If a creature's Block Disease is 100%, then they are immune to Disease inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages.

Defensive Disease is a passive ability where the user defensively inflicts a specific amount of Disease status on an attacker upon getting bitten.
Disease Attack (3.5)
Disease Attack is a passive ability where the user inflicts a specific amount of Disease status on any creature it bites. A negative value means that it heals an amount of such status upon biting.
Iron Stomach
Iron Stomach is a passive ability that allows the user to eat rotten meat without getting negative ailments from it--preventing them from getting the Sickly Status.

  • Salrahns are very intelligent and calm creatures during the day, but during the night they're ruthless monsters. Salrahn are more intelligent than Nyctoxon, but the latter have the biggest brains.
  • Salrahns are very caring parents.
  • Salrahn will purposely torture creatures just to mess with them, similar to dolphins.
  • Salrahns mimic corpses, though they are in fact living creatures... and possess human-like intelligence.
  • They understand the concept of emotions and can observe and learn how to use objects.

  • Concept and model by JaxonBirb.
  • This creature was once supposed to be introduced in a Halloween event in 2020, but the event never happened, so the Salrahn was then considered a regular creature as to not postpone its release. Development of the Salrahn took so long that it was introduced in 2021's Halloween event, becoming a Halloween creature once again.
  • On October 13, 2021, Salrahn was officially announced as a Tier 4 creature, along with a size comparison to multiple in-game creatures featuring the Lerachu, Lure, and Arsonos from left-to-right.
