Appearance
The Sturbi is a fluffy worm-like creature with two extremely reduced, almost vestigial limbs, somewhat reminiscent of those in european glass lizards, the Bipes genus, and primitive snakes such as boas and pythons. With coloration similar to a sunset, it possesses a gradient of hues transitioning from light orange to mauve that appear on its back and are repeated on its tail (which abruptly ends in a cream segment). The tail is speckled with star-like dots. The underbelly of its abdomen and ball-like feet are cream, transitioning up to the head to become caramel-colored. Its neck and throat are flared with long, thick fur that sweeps back. Its snub-nose, rostrum and area around the mouth are a deep mauve. Sturbi's head is hollow, lined inside with pale yellow stars on a plum-colored field. The head’s interior holds one pale yellow, orblike eye with vision separated into holes, one on each side of the head. In its mouth is a black forked tongue. Behind its jaw are three pinkish-orange triangular frills trimmed in cream, mirroring the ears resting above them that resemble a five-pointed star split lengthwise. Behind the ears are two mauve, ribbonlike structures that darken to their ends, tipped with one floating, four-pointed star each.
**Males**: Males possess pointier noses than females, similar to those seen in a hognose snake.

Abilities
Behavior
- Baby Sturbi are extremely vulnerable and will spend most of their time digging underground and hiding in bushes and tall grass.
- Although Sturbi avoid most creatures, they are very playful with their own species.
Lore (non-canon)
- Sturbi are small, snake-like creatures formed from fallen stars, by the same cosmic being. Sturbi are the youngest sibling species of Aereis and Parahexilian.
- The stars in their head can take many different shapes, although most commonly spheres and pointed stars.
- Throughout their life, they seek souls from fallen creatures and guide them to the stars.
- Sturbi's life source is based off the orb in their head which is the fallen star that the Sturbi formed from.
- Some say if you see a Sturbi you either will have good luck or soon perish.
Trivia
- Concept by CatasticalCalamity & Snicker_Doodles. Inspired by worms, snakes (specifically male hognose snakes), ferrets, and shooting stars. Sturbi, Aereis, and Parahexilian are all confirmed to come from forging stars, and thus share a similar origin.[1] However, in Sturbi's case it's from fallen stars in a less literal sense (that is, meteors, not literal stars), so while related to the other two, it's in a more distant manner.
- Legacy Sturbi has magenta blood. Due to this, when dying, the Sturbi drops a magenta carcass in Legacy. In real life, the change in color is caused by hemerythrin, a respiratory pigment of a purplish/violet color once oxygenated, replacing hemoglobin in several invertebrates. Lore-wise, it is possible it may be a way to relate this species with Aereis and Parahexilian, since all of them share the trait or weird-colored blood, specifically colours close to what the gold element can create (on this case, small gold nanoparticles in a fluid can create a reddish-pinkish color).
- Sturbi is the first creature to have model gender differences as a juvenile and teen, and the second creature to have other gender differences as a juvenile and teen, the first being Ani with its head flame.
- Sturbi is nicknamed "Noodle" by players due to its design.
- Before April 2023, Sturbi borrowed first and second calls from the Minawii and third and fourth calls from the Miik. [Expand] for Classic Calls.
