Does Ash Catch All Pokemon?

Pokémon debuted on April 1, 1997, with the episode “Pokemon — I Choose You!,” when Ash set out on a journey through different regions to “catch ‘em all.”

Ash got his first Pokemon, “Pikachu,” from Professor Oak. As and Pikachu become friends soon, he moves on the journey to becoming a Pokemon master with Pikachu.
