With the release of FIFA 23 imminent, we’ve decided to update our old Best Young RB RWB FIFA 22 guide from last year with new entries. These are predicted ratings, but they will be updated as soon as the official ones are released by EA. With that being said, here is our best young RB RWB FIFA 23 guide. Rating the top 10 best wonderkid right backs to sign in FIFA 23 career mode.

Today we’re taking a look at the top 10 right backs and right wing backs under the age of 21. Each and every one of these players has the potential to change the game in your career mode, be sure to be on the lookout for these hidden gems.

Traditionally, right backs have been known to defend their goal and hold the line. This isn’t the case anymore; as you can see from some of the players on this list, getting forward and attacking the opposition has become a key part of being a modern right back.

You may have heard of some of these right backs, but there are a few surprises here that even hardcore fans of football may miss out on! Keep an eye out for these youngsters bombing down the right wing in this year’s FIFA Career Mode:

  • Nationality: Belgium

Coming in at number 10 on the list, Hugo Siquet is a youngster with promise. He came up through the popular Belgian academy Standard Liège and as of January 1st, 2022 he has made his way to the Bundesliga, joining SC Freiburg.

An excellent passer of the ball, Siquet has the vision you’ll need to create killer passes. He’s a pacey right back who has a good left foot on his as well, allowing him to cut into the midfield and pass the ball where he sees fit!

If you looked up this same list last year for FIFA 22, then you’ve heard of defender Devyne Rensch. He’s still only 19 years of age and has the potential to truly be a world beater at the back.

Devyne Rensch is a Dutch defender playing in his native country for world renowned club Ajax. His biggest strength lies in his pace, there aren’t many other right backs on this list that could beat him 1 on 1. A strong defender that loves to get forward, Rensch is a great choice for any manager looking for some aggression!

  • Value: £18M

One of the only players on our list with Champion’s League experience, Odilon Kossounou is absolutely one to watch! He’s currently holding down the defense in the Bundesliga for popular club Bayer Leverkusen. Internationally, he has represented his home country of the Ivory Coast over 10 times as well, impressive for any 21 year old!

Kossounou is a tall player who loves to fight for the ball in the air, with him in your squad defending corners will feel like a breeze! His strengths lie in his, well, strength. He times his tackles with more precision than most midfielders have for their passes and his long limbs allow him to break down attacks with ease.

Odilon Kossounou is a monolith for Bayer Leverkusen, play your cards right in Career Mode and he could be a monolith for you as well!

Another familiar face, Sergiño Dest has played for some of the biggest clubs in the world at only 21 years of age. An American international with over 15 caps for the red, white and blue, Dest is already a favorite of many.

Coming up in the Netherlands, Sergiño Dest established himself at Dutch super club Ajax. After dominating the Eredivisie, Dest won himself a dream transfer to FC Barcelona. He played well in La Liga and has since been loaned out to another storied club in AC Milan.

Another Ivorian, Wilfried Singo is a guardian at the back! His tall stature and excellent agility makes him a mainstay for Italian club Torino as well as his national team. If you’re looking for a smart player who can win the ball without committing fouls, Singo is your go to.

Wilfried Singo started his career in his home country of the Ivory Coast, but made his way early in his youth to Torino. He has been a fan favorite of the club, scoring in his first game as a starter against powerhouse Roma.

Tino Livramento (74 OVR / 85 POT)

  • Age: 18
  • Nationality: England

Valentino “Tino” Livramento already has the Premier League experience needed to boost any squad’s defense. Coming up through Chelsea’s youth academy, Livramento has learned what it takes to be a right back from the best. He has international experience as well, playing on numerous occasions for the Three Lions Youth.

In August of 2021, Livramento joined Southampton in a bid to get more playtime. He got his playtime and became all the better for it, showcasing his rapid pace and agility for the Saints. His ball control and balance are two more key aspects to Livramento’s game, he’s a right back that can move the ball up the pitch with some class.

Already an established figure, Livramento could bolster any defense in Career Mode.

Our second player from Leverkusen, Jeremie Frimpong has it all. He’s come from arguably the best academy system in the world at Manchester City with regular appearances in the Premier League 2. Moving from City, Frimpong made his way to Celtic where he won man of the match on his debut! After winning Celtic’s Young Player of the Year award, the Dutch international was then acquired by previously mentioned Bayer 04.

He has Champion’s League experience and the dribbling skills to back it up. Pace wise, well let’s just say he’s fast. Really fast. Frimpong has also been known to put in a good cross or two into the area, get this defender if you want some firepower in your backline!

Jurriën Timber (80 OVR / 88 POT)

  • Nationality: Netherlands
  • Value: £40.5M

Topping our list of the Best Young RB RWB Wonderkids is none other than Jurriën Timber. This guy is good, like very good. He wears the #2 for Dutch champions Ajax and has been a mainstay in their defense since his arrival. Timber has so much promise fallen giants Manchester United were pursuing him heavily in the 2022 summer transfer window.

Jurriën Timber is fast at right back with springs in his feet, he can get to any ball at any time. Off the ball, Timber’s knowledge and sense of the game shines. His positioning leaves his opposition looking for spaces that just don’t exist.
