Destiny 2 Butterfly’s Grace Guide (Le Monarque)

Here’s our complete Destiny 2 Butterfly’s Grace guide. The Butterfly’s Grace quest allows you to acquire the exotic Le Monarque.

Destiny 2 Butterfly's Grace Guide

When it comes to exotics, you are going to want to make sure you have the full collection. The Black Armory update in year two introduced two new weapons that can be obtained from the forges quests. With this Destiny 2 Butterfly’s Grace Complete Gude, you will be able to get your hands on the exotic bow Le Monarque.

The poison effect from the Le Monarque alone makes the bow worth getting. It’s a slow grind, but it pays off in PvE massively. Not to mention that you can benefit from it in PvP as well. The poison effect will prevent any opposing players from regenerating health.

Le Monarque

The bow has the following two perks:

  • Poison Arrows: Quick-firing arrows after a full-charged shot will turn them into poison arrows. Precision hits from poison arrows stun enemies and cause them to spread poison to other enemies within the vicinity.
  • Snapshot Sights: Shorter time to aiming down sights.
  • Natural String: +5 accuracy, +5 stability and +5 handling speed.
  • Compact Arrow Shaft: +20 inventory size.

Le Monarque makes use of energy ammo and is a void-type weapon. It has the following stats:

  • Impact – 76
  • Accuracy – 73
  • Stability – 46
  • Handling – 54
  • Reload Speed – 40
  • Aim Assistance – 70
  • Inventory Size – 56
  • Zoom – 18
  • Airborne Effectiveness – 18
  • Recoil – 78
  • Bounce Intensity –  22
  • Draw Time – 684

Destiny 2 Butterfly’s Grace Guide: How to Unlock Le Monarque

Fast-travel to the hub and make your way to Ada-1 on the west side. The quest she will give you is “Butterfly’s Grace Let Fly”. To acquire the bow, you will be tasked with two objectives, along with an additional quest for the other exotic.

  • Forge 10 legendary frames
  • Defeat Fallen enemies using a bow only

Defeat Fallen Enemies Using a Bow

The second part is easily done and can be done by killing Fallen throughout Destiny 2’s world. You can either do this by completing strikes like The Devil’s Lair from the Cosmodrome.

Alternatively, you can just head to the EDZ and start shooting away at the Fallen with whatever bow you have in your inventory. The Tangled Shore or Lost Sectors are also a good way to find a bunch of Fallen, albeit these are much more populated spots.

Another good option is heading to IO and completing events throughout the map to defeat waves of Fallen and achieve 100% completion on this objective.

Complete ADA-1’s Bounties

Forging the legendary frames requires you to complete bounties from Ada-1, after which you can acquire weapon frames. Each week, you are restricted to completing two Ballistic Logs.

It will take you five weeks to complete a total of 10 legendary frames, with 2 dropping every week.

When you complete a bounty, go to Ada-1 and acquire the frames. Head to the bottom-left side of the EDZ towards the Gofannon Forge in order to craft your frames.

Progress does not count if you do the quests before the weekly timer resets. You will also have to complete all six forge options prior to duplicating weapon types.
