How it works

The game grows an egg for its pet's base time times a size factor: no slower up to x2, then steeply slower, capped at 20 times. The finder runs that backwards for every pet in the pool you picked. What each pet earns at any size is on the earnings calculator, and what a whole biome's eggs earn on the egg calculator.

Questions

How does the egg finder know what's inside?

Every pet's egg has its own grow time, and bigger eggs grow longer, so a timer only fits a few pets at a few sizes. In Forest a Chicken egg takes 10s at normal size and a Brr Brr Patapim egg 5m. The finder weighs each fit by the pet's chance in that biome and the chance of rolling that size.

Why does my egg match more than one pet?

Size slows growth: an egg up to x2 grows in the normal time, a 4x one in 2m 37s for every minute of normal time, and the slowest take 20 times as long. A long timer can be a slow pet at normal size or a fast pet that rolled big; the percentages say which is likelier.

Does the x2 Growth pass change the timer?

Yes, it halves every grow time, so switch it on in the finder if you own it. Night time skips can also shorten a timer that's already running, so read it right after you place the egg.
