Where the price comes from
The game prices a fuse at 3 minutes of the inputs' income per second, each pet's own rate without the x2 Money pass, then doubles it if any input carries a mutation and triples it if one carries two or more. What a single pet earns at any size is on the earnings calculator.

3 minutes of the 3 pets' combined income: three normal Walruss cost $324K. If any of them has a mutation the price doubles, and with two or more mutations on one pet it triples, on top of the mutation raising its income.
What can I fuse?
3 pets of the same kind, none of them favourited. The machine turns them into one egg of that pet, which then rolls a new size, leaning towards the three pets' average size.
Do mutated pets cost more to fuse?
Twice over: a mutation raises the pet's income, which the price is based on, and then the surcharge multiplies it. One Golden Walrus with two normal ones costs $972K instead of $324K.
