How weight works

Every animal and egg has a base size in the game files, and its weight at 1x is that size's volume. A rolled size multiplies all three sides, so weight goes up with size cubed: a Skeleton Dragon at 1.5x weighs 5,616 kg, a bit over three times its 1x weight. The calculator takes the cube root of your weight over the base to get the size back, and the weights it shows are rounded the way the game rounds them.

Size feeds the same damage bonus the damage calculator uses, so a big animal's DPS here matches that page at the same size.

Questions

What does weight do in Egg Tower Defense?

Weight shows an animal's size, and size matters: a bigger animal does up to 20% more damage (nothing at 1x, the full bonus at 2x) and sells for more, since sell price scales with size. Weight grows with size cubed, so a 2x animal weighs eight times a 1x one.

How rare is a 2x animal?

Sizes roll in 5 bands. 60% land between 1x and 1.25x, 25% land between 1.25x and 1.5x, 10% land between 1.5x and 1.75x, 4% land between 1.75x and 1.9x, 1% land between 1.9x and 2x. So only 1% of rolls reach 1.9x or more, and a full 2x is the top of that band.

What's the heaviest animal?

Skeleton Dragon, at 1,664 kg at 1x and up to 13,313 kg at 2x. The lightest is the Worm at 0.87 kg.

Does egg size matter?

Yes, for hatch time: a bigger egg takes longer, scaling with size cubed, so a 2x egg takes eight times the base time. Robux eggs are the exception and always hatch in 5 seconds. Bigger eggs also sell for more.
