Most rod materials are catches. Open any ingredient in the fish finder to see where it bites, and when a recipe asks for a mutation, check the mutations page for what gives it. The finished rods and their stats are on the rods page.
Crafting FAQ
Where do you craft rods?
Most rods are crafted at the anvil in the Ancient Archives once you reach the rod's level. A few recipes have to be unlocked somewhere else first, and the line under those rods says where.
What does a mutation in front of an ingredient mean?
The ingredient has to carry that mutation. The Lucid Rod needs a Cursed Touch Scrap Metal, so a plain Scrap Metal will not count.
How long do totems take?
Between 20 and 60 minutes per craft, listed on each totem. Every craft also has a chance to give two totems instead of one.
