Where rainbow points come from
The game's own tip: "Normal stars can be upgraded to rainbow stars by getting rarer versions of animals. With rainbow stars, more guests come to visit." Each animal is worth points for its size alone, so a SMALL rabbit counts as much as a BIG elephant. Rare parents breed rare babies far more often, which the breeding calculator works out for any pair. Colour skins would count 2 points, but skins are switched off in this version.

What are rainbow stars in Zoo Builder Tycoon?
A second star rating on top of the normal one. Rare-sized animals earn rainbow points, and points turn into up to 5 rainbow stars, which bring more guests: up to +25% at 5 stars.
How many points do rare animals give?
2 for a BIG or SMALL animal, 5 for GIANT or TINY and 10 for LEGENDARY. Smaller counts the same as bigger: the game only looks at how far the size is from average.
How many LEGENDARY animals do you need for 5 rainbow stars?
5: 50 points reach the top of the ladder. With GIANT animals it takes 10, with BIG ones 25.
How rare is a LEGENDARY animal?
1% of newly bought animals roll LEGENDARY (half GIANT, half TINY). Breeding two LEGENDARY parents raises it to 12% a baby.
