Best Honkai Star Rail Arlan Build
Since Arlan is a Destruction Path character, he’s suitable to become your All-rounder main DPS. His kit plays with manipulating his HP, sacrificing some portion of his HP to dish out big damage. With DMG increase, the lower his HP be; Arlan is your double edge sword lightning DPS character that could nuke big damage towards a single enemy.
For Arlan’s Relics and Planar Ornament build, we highly suggest you to go with the lightning Relics Band of Sizzling Thunder 4 set since it will increase Arlan’s damage even further, and you can keep using the skill from his turn to always refresh the ATK buff duration. Arlan’s skill and Ultimate is his bread and butter, so we would suggest you go with CRIT Rate Planar Ornament because it will also buff either his Skill or Ultimate DMG, depending on which Ornament you’re choosing. You can actually go with whichever CRIT Rate since both are samely useful for Arlan.
As for Arlan’s Light Cone build, you can focus on the Destruction Path Light Cone since we can’t activate the effect from the other Light Cone’s Path. All of Destruction Path Light Cones fit Arlan well, but we recommend you equip the Light Cone that has self-sustainability so that Arlan can keep sacrificing his HP to dish out big damage. Since Arlan will often have his HP lower compared to the enemies, he can also proc the additional extra DMG that will help him deliver high nuke damage to the enemy.

Increases the wearer’s ATK by 20/25/30/35/40%. When the wearer defeats an enemy or is hit, immediately restores HP equal to 6/7.5/9/10.5/12% of the wearer’s ATK. At the same time, the wearer’s DMG increases by 20/25/30/35/40% until the end of their next turn. This effect cannot stack and can only trigger 1 time per turn.
Arlan’s secondary Best in Slot Light Cone.
It will increase Arlan’s DMG, and the best thing is whenever Arlan defeats an enemy or gets hit; he will recover some HP that scales from his ATK.

Great 4-star substitution of Something Irreplaceable.
This Light Cone will give a higher heal rate than that Light Cone, but it will only heal Arlan if he can defeat the enemy himself.

If the wearer’s current HP is less than 80% of their Max HP, CRIT Rate increases by 16/19/22/25/28%.
Arlan often has their HP below 80% due to the HP drain by using his skill, so it will be easy to gain an extra CRIT Rate.
This Light Cone is very useful for Arlan since, especially during the early-mid game, it will be quite challenging to have nice CRIT Rate Relics. So this Light Cone will help Arlan slightly closer to keep triggering the critical hit.

Since Arlan is a lightning character and his damage also scales from his ATK, we highly recommend you to go with 4 set Band of Sizzling Thunder since it will also buff his Lightning DMG and his ATK after he used his skill. But if you don’t have 4 set Lightning Relics yet, you can also go with ATK Relics, either 4 set ATK Relics or 2 set Lightning 2 set ATK Relics.

4 Set: When the wearer uses Skill, increases the wearer’s ATK by 25% for 1 turn(s).

2 Set: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8%.

Space Sealing Station

When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer’s ATK increases by another 12%.

When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer’s Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15%.
Honkai: Star Rail Arlan Best Team Comp
For Arlan’s team comp, having a Healer is a must since Arlan will always deplete his HP whenever we use his skill. Pairing Arlan with Harmony Path character is also very recommended since it will increase his damage even further. Uniquely for Arlan, it’s also quite useful to pair him together with Pela because Pela can shred the enemy’s DEF lower, making Arlan the single nuke DPS in your team that can potentially one-shot some of the enemies. If you want to play safe, you can also go with Preservation Path character, especially those that have the taunt skill so that the enemy will never touch Arlan at all.
