Honkai Star Rail Welt Story Introduction
As the walking encyclopedia, Welt is the former sovereign of Anti-Entropy which has saved the world from annihilation over and over again. Thus, he inherits the name of the world itself. From helping the Astral Express crew to explaining simple or even complex terms when there’s a new feature that we got for the first time, we sure can count on Welt for many things.
If you also played Honkai Impact 3rd, seeing Welt would give you a familiar feeling because Welt is indeed one of the characters inside Honkai Impact. Without spoiling the story from Honkai Impact, in Honkai: Star Rail, Welt has become an animation storyboard artist. Together with Himeko, Dan Heng, March 7th, and the main character, the Trailblazer themself, Welt embarks on a different journey in the Astral Express train.
Best Honkai Star Rail Welt Build
Since Welt is a Nihility Path character, his kit revolves around dealing damage alongside applying debuffs to the enemies. For Welt, his skill revolves around applying a slow debuff to the enemies. His ultimate is an AoE imaginary attack that will imprison all enemies, delaying their action and reducing their speed.
Since Welt’s skill will not guarantee to reduce the target’s SPD, it would be useful to invest in his Effect Hit Rate. He can also be one of your imaginary main DPS, so you can invest in Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK, and imaginary damage boost. You can also invest in a lot of SPD so that Welt can keep slowing the enemies and give your team a higher chance to get two turns before the enemies can get their turn.
For Welt’s Relics and Planar Ornament build, we highly suggest you go with 4 sets of Imaginary Relics Wastelander of Banditry Desert since it aligns with Welt’s kit perfectly, buffing his CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG because Welt can both apply the debuff to the enemies and even imprisoning them. As for the Planar Ornament, you can focus on the Effect Hit Rate Planar Ornament Pan-Galactic Commercial Enterprise so that you will have a higher chance to apply the debuff to the enemies.
As for Welt’s Light Cone build, you can focus on the Nihility Path Light Cone, since we can’t activate the effect from the other Light Cone’s Path. Some of the Nihility Path Light Cone will buff the DoT damage, but Welt has no DoT application, so you can ignore those Light Cone and only focus on the one that will increase Welt’s DMG or increase his Effect Hit Rate. When the wearer uses their Skill, the Effect Hit Rate for this attack increases by 20/25/30/35/40%, and ATK increases by 20/25/30/35/40%.
Welt’s Signature Light Cone and also his Best in Slot Light Cone.
Since Welt can apply the Slow debuff from his Skill, this Light Cone is very suitable for him due to the increased DMG towards the debuffed enemies.
Welt also needs to have a high Effect Hit Rate to apply the debuff, so this Light Cone is very ideal for him.

For every debuff the target enemy has, the DMG dealt by the wearer increases by 12/15/18/21/24%, stacking up to 3 time(s).
This effect also applies to DoT.
The four-star Light Cone will increase Welt’s DMG.
This Light Cone is more useful if you pair Welt together with another debuffer or DoTer so that Welt’s DMG can be increased even further for the three stacks.
If you only have Welt as your debuffer, you can gain two stacks from his Slow and Imprisoned debuff. You can also potentially gain the third stack if you can break the enemy’s weakness break. But this third debuff will “rarely” occur, and it’s not really that consistent.

After the wearer uses Basic ATK or skill, the wearer deals 40/50/60/70/80% of ATK as additional DMG to a random enemy that is attacked by abilities.
Another four-star Light Cone alternative that you can use for Welt.
For this Light Cone, the DMG itself is more consistent compared to Good Night and Sleep Well since it will “permanently” increase Welt’s DMG based on a portion of his ATK.
If you have a lot of debuffs on the enemies, then Good Night and Sleep Well will be better compared to this Light Cone since Welt’s Ultimate has the highest damage multiplier, and this Light Cone only will buff Basic ATK and Skill DMG too.

Since Welt will apply a slow debuff to the enemies, this Light Cone will increase Welt’s DMG easily.
Honkai Star Rail Welt Best Relics
Welt’s skill will apply slow debuff, and his Ultimate will apply the imprisoned debuff, which synergizes perfectly with the Imaginary Relics. So we highly recommend you to go with 4 set Imaginary Relics. If you don’t have it yet, you can also go with 4 set ATK Relics, since the SPD buff is also useful for Welt so that you can potentially cut off the enemy’s turn by keep slowing and imprisoning them. If you don’t have 4 set of ATK Relics too, you can also go with 2 set Imaginary 2 set ATK Relics temporarily until you can get the 4 set Relics.

4 Set: When attacking debuffed enemies, the wearer’s CRIT Rate increases by 10%.
If the enemy is Imprisoned, then the wearer’s CRIT DMG increases by 20%.

Honkai Star Rail Welt Best Planar Ornaments
Welt’s Debuff can also be failed due to the enemy’s RES, so to counter that, we can increase Welt’s Effect Hit Rate to have a higher chance of applying the debuff to the enemies. So you can go with the Effect Hit Rate Planar Ornament. But if you already have a high Effect Hit Rate, you can also go with ATK or CRIT Planar Ornaments so that Welt will have greater damage.
Pan-Galactic Commercial Enterprise
2 Set: Increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 10%.
Meanwhile, the wearer’s ATK increases by an amount that is equal to 25% of Effect Hit Rate, up to a maximum of 25%.
Celestial Differentiator
2 Set: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8%.

Honkai Star Rail Welt Best Team Comp
Welt can be a good main DPS or support Sub DPS for your team. With an SPD manipulation kit from his skill and Ultimate, you can also pair Welt together with Dan Heng because his Ultimate damage will increase for attacking Slowed enemy. You can also pair Welt together with another SPD manipulation character like Bronya or Asta so that your team will have more frequent turns compared to the enemies.
Welt is so flexible you can actually pair him together with another Destruction Path, Hunt Path, or Erudition Path character for another DPS character in your team. You can also pair Welt with Preservation Path or Abundance Path characters so that you will have higher survivability too.
