Honkai Star Rail March 7th Story Introduction
The girl who has no memory of her past. March 7th, is the date when she was awakened from a piece of drifting eternal ice. That is also the date when she became part of the Astral Express crew. Without knowing her identity and her name, she then decided to name herself after the date she returned to life in this world again, with the hope that one day, she’ll be able to retrieve her past back again.
Now, alongside Pom Pom, Himeko, Welt, Dan Heng, and not to mention the newest member of Astral Express, the Trailblazer themself, March 7th embarks on a new journey to trailblaze the universe and save the world from the disaster of Stellaron.
Best Honkai Star Rail March 7th Build
Since March 7th is a Preservation Path character, she has the role of defensive support for your team. Her skill is quite “rare” since she can potentially “manipulate” which character will be the damage tank and could potentially prevent the final blow attack from the enemies to the dying character. When you use her skill, she will give that chosen character a shield, and if their HP is higher than 30%, then they have a higher chance of being hit by the enemy.
For March 7th’s Relics and Planar Ornament build, we highly recommend you go with DEF priority. Even though her normal attack and Ultimate scales on her ATK, but she is not meant to be the DPS or Sub DPS character. Her role fits better as the shielder support for your team, which scales on her DEF. The best Relics, in this case, is the DEF relics Knight of Purity Palace. As for the best Planar Ornament for March 7th, we highly suggest you to equip Belobog of the Architects for higher DEF.
As for March 7th’s Light Cone build, you can focus on the Preservation Path Light Cone, since we can’t activate the effect from the other Light Cone’s Path. Here are the best Light Cone, Relics, Planar Ornament, and the best Team Comp for March 7th.
Honkai Star Rail March 7th Best Light Cone
Even though there are five star rarity Light Cones like Moment of Victory (Gepard’s signature light cone), March 7th’s kit is giving shield so that the other shielded character can be the punching bag. But the Moment of Victory light cone will give the chance for March 7th to taunt the enemies to hit her instead, which could backfire and ruin the flow of the battle. Thus, her signature light cone is more recommended compared to the other five star light cone, despite being a four star rarity light cone.

Increases the wearer’s DEF by 16/18/20/22/24%.
After entering battle, increases DMG RES of all allies by 8/9/10/11/12%. Effects of the same type cannot stack.
The Best in Slot light cone for March 7th.
You only want to focus on increasing her DEF, and this light cone has that effect.
As a support character, the DMG RES buff for all allies will definitely be very useful too.
Moment of Victory

Increases the wearer’s DEF by 24/30/36/42/48% and Effect Hit Rate by 20/25/30/35/40%.
Increases the chance for the wearer to be attacked by enemies.
When the wearer is attacked, increase their DEF by an additional 24/30/36/42/48% until the end of the wearer’s turn.
Despite this Light Cone has higher attribute compare to Day One of My New Life, the passive of higher chance to get hit by the enemies will become double edge sword for March 7th.
All in all, if you don’t mind with that, this light cone will be better for March 7th’s attribute compared to her signature light cone.

If the wearer’s current HP is less than 50% of their Max HP, increases their DEF by a further 16/20/24/28/32%.
Potentially could surpass This Is Me! If you can superimpose this light cone to max for the extra 32% +32% Def buff.
Despite being three star light cone, this light cone is very budget friendly for a F2P March 7th build.

Increases the wearer’s DEF by 12/15/18/21/24%.
Increases the DMG of the wearer when they use their Ultimate by 50/62.5/75/87.5/100% of the wearer’s DEF.
This effect can only apply 1 time per enemy target.
The four star light cone alternative if you don’t have those two light cones above.
Unfortunately, we can’t take the most benefit from the increased DMG after casting the DMG since March 7th isn’t built to dish out big damage.
Honkai Star Rail March 7th Best Relics
Since March 7th can be the shielder without being the punching bag character, you don’t need to invest in Guard of Withering Snow (reduce DMG taken by 8%) since March 7th’s skill can increase the odds of the enemy to hit the shielded character instead of hitting herself (if we use the shield on the other character.
The “only” good Relics left for March 7th is Knight of Purity Palace, since it will also buff the durability of the shield. So you don’t need to worry about any other build. If you don’t have the 4 set Relics yet, you can also go with 2 set Shooting Meteor for the break effect set bonus.

2 Set: Increases DEF by 12%.
4 Set: Increases the max DMG that can be absorbed by the shield created by the wearer by 20%.
Guard of Withering Snow (2pc)

2 Set: Reduces DMG taken by 8%. (Purity Palace)
2 Set: Increases Break Effect by 20% (Shooting Meteor)

Similar to how we build her Relics, for the Planar Ornaments we can aim for increasing March 7th’s DEF too. If you don’t have the 2 set DEF ornaments yet, you can also go with this alternative below.
Fleet of the Ageless Planar Ornaments would be useful to increase all allies’ ATK, but only if you can increase March 7th’s SPD to reach 120 or higher. As for Talia: Kingdom of Banditry, you don’t really need to invest 145 SPD or higher to trigger the secondary ornament effect. Even 20% Break Effect is already enough for March 7th, since her role is to give shields to your team.
Belobog of the Architects
2 Set: Increases the wearer’s DEF by 15%.
When the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate is 50% or higher, the wearer gains an extra 15% DEF.
Fleet of the Ageless
2 Set: Increases the wearer’s Max HP by 12%.
When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, all allies’ ATK increases by 8%.
