Are you wondering what the best Elden Ring int weapons to obtain are? Well, here’s our top 5 list of which ones we like the most.
On the first playthrough of Elden Ring, it is recommended that you scale your intelligence and settle yourself in a more ‘distanced’ combat style. Particularly because the monsters in the game are unforgiving, and Int weapons help to make confrontations easier, allowing for easy exploration in early and mid-game.
Elden Ring’s weapon variety makes for some interesting builds and combos. Weapons that scale with intelligence include bows, staffs and even katanas; each of which provide a variety of new move-sets that deal devastating damage which scales accordingly with your Int level. If you’re looking for the best of the lot for your ‘sorcery’ needs, then you’ll find the best elden ring intelligence weapons mentioned below.

The best weapons that we recommend for your path to become the Elden Lord are:
Lusat’s Glintstone Staff
- Stats Required: 10 Str, and 52 Int
- Best Int Scaling: S
- Location: Selia, Town of Sorcery (Obtainable once you defeat the Hidden Boss)

Lusat’s Glintstone Staff is one of the best staffs in the game, and can easily be used for an Int build until the final boss. However, keep in mind that your FP cost for spells will significantly increase but with an advantage of higher damage output thanks to the staff’s S-scaling for Int.
To make use of the Lusat’s Glintstone Staff at its full potential, it would be wise to either respec or build yourself entirely centered around investing into ‘intelligence’ and ‘mind.
When you unlock ‘Comet Azure’, a simple input can chomp down on the entirety of most boss’ health pools.
Moonveil Katana
- Stats Required: 12 Str, 18 Dex, and 23 Int
- Best Int Scaling: B
- Location: Gael Tunnel (Acquired after defeating the Magma Wyrm)

So, you just started off in Limgrave with nothing but your class’ starting weapons. What do you do? You head straight for Caelid and defeat the Magma Wyrm to get yourself a Moonveil Katana.
Not only is this weapon good for players looking to cut through the early-game, but even more-so for conquering PvP and fighting off invaders with its unique short-to-mid range magic slashes.
Moonveil uses “Transient Moonlight” which can be used to lead into either a fast normal attack or a slower but harder-hitting strong attack.
Dark Moon Greatsword
- Stats Required: 16 Str, 11 Dex, and 38 Int
- Best Int Scaling: B
- Location: Cathedral of Manus Celes (Complete Ranni’s storyline)

If you’ve ever entered a fight arena or been invaded towards the end-game, chances are that you are familiar with the Dark Moon Greatsword’s formidable attacks and frostbite. The Greatsword scales not only with Intelligence, but with Strength and Dexterity as well.
To get your hands on this Moonlit Greatsword, complete Ranni’s Storyline and you will find the Greatsword at the Cathedral of Manus Celes.
By using the Dark Moon Greatsword’s weapon skill, you can imbue it with the light of the moon to increase magic attack power and inflict frost damage. Heavy attacks will allow for short-distance bursts of moonlight.
Starscourge Greatsword
- Stats Required: 38 Str, 12 Dex, and 15 Int
- Best Int Scaling: D
- Location: Enia (Roundtable Hold, after defeating Radahn)

The Starscourge Greatsword falls into the ‘colossal’ category and isn’t exactly at the top of the list for most players looking to make an Int build. However, if you are running a hybrid Strength and Int build in your second playthrough, the Starscourge Greatsword is a great weapon to deal large amounts of damage until late-game.
Its unique weapon skill “Starcaller Cry” can be activated to pull enemies towards you and deal damage in an AoE.
Azur’s Glintstone Staff
- Stats Required: 10 Str, and 52 Int
- Best Int Scaling: S
- Location: Raya Lucaria Academy

The Azur’s Glintstone Staff provides the wielder with an increase in casting speed with a downside of additional FP cost (20% more). Bonuses from the staff are applied even if you don’t meet the base requirements to wield it.
There’s a close tie between Azur’s Glintstone Staff and Lusat’s Glintstone Staff. Most players will use Azur’s Staff until they’re able to get the Lusat’s Staff later on in the game as it provides an overall better damage output.
