Elden Ring Best Samurai Armor Sets

Elden Ring is the first game from FromSoftware that seems to be a lot more accessible for newer audiences. However, for a new player starting Elden Ring, the first question they have to answer is what class they want to choose. Elden Ring offers you a choice between different classes. If you are going for ranged and Melee build, Samurai is the class for you.

The Samurai build focuses on Dexterity, and your starting weapons are a Long Bow and the Uchigatana. Armor is one of the most critical parts of any build in Elden Ring. So, if you have chosen the Samurai class, here are the best Samurai Armor Sets for you.

There are a number of different Samurai armor sets that you can find in Elden Ring’s expansive open world. But, there are only a few of them that are worth grinding for. If you are looking for the best armor set for the Samurai class, one of the armor sets mentioned below is your answer.

The Land Of Reeds set definitely makes you look like a Samurai. It is certainly a very attractive-looking armor, and the best part about it is that you don’t have to do anything to get it. If you choose the Samurai class, this is the armor set you start off with. It has decent coverage all around the body for protection.

The stats on the Lands Of Reeds set aren’t too bad at all, especially for armor you can get in the early game. It has a poise of 13, which isn’t very high but still good enough. If you are looking for a very authentic-looking Samurai armor, this is your best bet, and you make the stats work as well.

The White Reed set is another beautiful Samurai set. You can choose this over the Land Of Reeds set if you are looking to add a bit of roughness to your character’s look. This armor set can be acquired when you are a little further along in the game. All of the pieces in this set can be found on the mountaintop of the giants’ region.

In terms of stats, the white reed set is pretty much similar to the Land Of Reeds set, with an average damage negation of 22.7. The armor does pretty well when it comes to resistance as well, with a poise rating of 16. The White Reed set is an excellent set for the Samurai class, and you cannot go wrong with it.

Damage Negation Stats:

  • Physical – 25.6
  • Pierce – 24.6
  • Strike – 23.2
  • Slash – 25.3

The Briar doesn’t look a lot like a Samurai set, but it still gives off a distinct vibe that goes along with the Samurai class. If the looks don’t win you over, the Briar set certainly fits in with the play style of the Samurai class, which is melee and ranged combat. You can purchase this set of armor by thoroughly exploring the Shaded castle and killing the boss there.

The Briar is undoubtedly a hefty armor set when it comes to stats as well. For example, the Briar has an average damage negation of 24.5, which is the highest so far. The poise on The Briar is also very high at 27, which is definitely going to help you in the Samurai playstyle.

Damage Negation Stats:

  • Physical – 23
  • Pierce – 23
  • Strike – 23
  • Slash – 24.7
  • Holy – 25.6

  • Magic – 25.6
  • Lightning – 28.3

Resistance Stats:

  • Immunity – 167
  • Focus – 132

  • Vitality – 140
  • Robustness – 125

The Ronin is definitely the most Samurai-looking armor on this list. Its big silver hat is very attractive to look at while also being a staple of the Samurai Armors. Now getting this set is not very straightforward. You will meet an NPC named Yura, and once you have completed his quest line, you can find him again in the Zamor Ruins. You can kill him to get this set.

Stats on the Ronin are also pretty great as it has an average damage negation of 25. Putting it at the top of this list. The poise on The Ronin is relatively modest at 15, but that’s not too bad either. The best thing about The Ronin set is the way it looks. Combine the looks with some very decent stats, and you have a perfect Samurai armor set.

Conclusion

The Samurai class in Elden Ring is an entertaining class to use, and you can also use it for a bit of roleplay if you like that sort of thing. The armor sets mentioned above are the best in class when it comes to Samurai, and you won’t go wrong with any of them.
