Seek Three Wise Beasts is a recurring puzzle in the game. Follow this guide on how to seek three wise beasts in Elden Ring.
The Elden Ring open world is filled with dungeons, catacombs, and magical towers. Some of these towers are sealed off by magical barriers and require solving puzzles in order to gain access. These towers are encountered at various locations in Lands Between, depending upon how you explore the open world.
Seek three beasts is a recurring puzzle at three locations in the Elden Ring. You will have to find three hidden glowing turtles nearby and hit them to solve the puzzle. After killing all three turtles the magic seal will be removed, and you can enter the towers.
- Testu’ Rise
- Oridys’s Rise
- Chelona’s Rise
Why Do You Need To Find Three Wise Beasts?
You need to find and hit these conjured creatures to open the seals to gain access into the tower. You can find Memory Stones as well as one of the best spells atop of these towers.
Memory Stones are used to maximize the number of spells and indications that you can carry at the same time. These are an essential part of sorcery and incantation builds and you can only gain access to them by finding three wise beasts.
How To Seek Three Wise Beasts In Elden Ring
When you reach these locations, you will find the entrance of the door blocked by a magic seal and an imp statue with a cryptic message asking you to Seek Three Wise beasts.
1- Testu’ Rise
Testu’s Rise is in the Liurnia of Lakes region. It is located on a small island north of the Raya Lucaria Academy. The island is not inhabited by any creatures, but the undead skeletons roam this small island. As you approach the Rise entrance, you will find it blocked by a magical seal.
An imp statue holding a glowing booking with “Seek Three Wise Beasts” written on it. You will have to find and kill three turtles to break the seal. As you interact with the imp statue three ghostly turtles will spawn in the area.
You can find the first turtle by going left from the main entrance of the tower. You will find the turtles hanging out by the cliffs, and a skeleton will be looking over him, making it easy to spot the turtle. Going ahead, the beast, and it will disappear.
The second turtle can be found to the east of the tower in the woods. It will be Halfway up a tree trunk in the woods. You will need a ranged weapon to kill the beast as it is out of melee range.
The third turtle can be found by heading southeast and walking along the edge of the cliff, as well as looking down the cliffs. You will find the third turtle down the cliff.
Kill the third beast, and the seal will disappear. You can now enter the tower and pick up a Memory stone from a chest at the top of the tower.
2- Oridy’s Rise
Oridy’s Rise is in Weeping Peninsula. You can reach this location by jumping from the Spiritspring east of the Castle Morne Rampart Site of Grace. Just like Testu’s Rise you will also have to find three wise beasts to open the magic seal blocking the entrance into the tower.
The first turtle is found just a few steps to the north, opposite to the tower entrance.
Second turtle is hiding in the bushes on the left side of the tower stairs and imp statue.
The final turtle is in the middle of the pond on the right side of the tower. You will not be able to see it, but you will see the water moving in the middle of the pond. Killing the third beast will open the seal, and you will be able to loot a Memory Stone from the chest at the top of the tower.
3- Chelona’s Rise
Chelona’s Rise is located at Moonlight Altar Plateau. This area is only accessible if you have made progress in Ranni’s quest and defeated Astel, Naturalborn of the Void in the Grand Cloister. Just like in the previous location, you will have to seek three wise beasts to break the magic seal.
As you approach the tower the first beast is found clinging to the cliff-side to the west of the tower. You can hit the turtle by a spell or an arrow.
The second turtle is found far to the east, south of Lunar Estate Ruins. Closely following the cliff edge, you will see the turtle sitting under the cliff. Use a range weapon to hit the beast.
The final beast can be found flying high southeast of Ringleader’s Evergaol. You can reach the turtle with the help of Spiritspring nearby, which you can jump from with Torrent.
After hitting the last turtle, the seal will disappear, and you can make your way atop the tower. Where you will find one of the best Spells in “Ranni’s Dark Moon.”
